guh. I am exhausted. But it was a very fun night and day. We spent pretty much the entire night watching movies. We saw Peter Pan (the non-animated one that came out a few years ago), Moulin Rouge, The New Guy, Old Boy, and Requiem for a Dream. Then today Tiffany, Annie, and I bummed around the UCI marketplace and then went to the Woodbridge Center place and saw The Longest Yard.

Peter Pan: Ok, so we started this I guess at 11 PM. I had seen the animated version when I was like 5, but never this one. I thought it was pretty good. I think I would've liked it a lot more if Peter wasn't such an ass. And, also, if Wendy hadn't decided Peter was the one whom she'd give her kiss after like 5 seconds of knowing him. And, also, if they didn't look, like, 10. It was kind of creepy. ...um, but the rest was good! :) I really did like it.

Moulin Rouge: First movie I have ever cried during. Seriously. I had never seen this before and I didn't think I'd like it very much, but geez. I really loved it. I never understood the major love of Ewan McGregor before solely because... I hadn't really seen him in anything, but I absolutely loved him after this movie. I thought it was excellent. ...I really want to see it again. blah. This is the closest I've ever come to actually haven't a favorite movie, I think. Most of the time I like movies but they never really stick, as Jackie and I were talking about sometime during the night. I like them well enough, but once they're over, I don't think about them anymore. This could just be because I haven't seen that many really great movies. But yeah, I really liked this one. I don't know if I'd start going around saying it's my absolute favorite movie ever, but... it was awesome. I want to see it again and see if it holds up on repeat viewings.

The New Guy: This was the only movie of the night I had seen before. ...sadly enough, I remember it being a lot funnier when it first came out when I was in 7th grade. But it'll always hold a place in my heart solely because it was the place I first discovered Simple Plan (back when I said the band's name and absolutely no one had any idea who they were) which led me to New Found Glory and Good Charlotte, and while I'm not obsessed with any of those bands like I used to be, they led me to trying to find new music and discovering all this awesome music that I didn't realize... existed. Shockingly enough, there was music outside of what they played on KIIS FM. So, yeah. Plus, we had just watched 2 pretty sad movies (particularly Moulin Rouge), and... I felt we kind of needed something goofy and somewhat funny and less depressing. Oh, and Mike Erwin! Colin from Everwood! When this came out, Everwood hadn't even had its first season yet, so I totally didn't recognize him then.

Old Boy: This was a Korean movie Jackie brought. It included a guy removing another guy's teeth (...and, um, he wasn't exactly a dentist) and then cutting off his tongue, and loads of incesty goodness. Wonderfully fucked up. ...another somewhat depressing movie, though. I did really like it, though.

Requiem for a Dream: Yeah. Another downer. Jared Leto from My So-Called Life! Awesome! But, uh, dude. Your arm's in extreme pain and definitely infected, and you decide to shoot more heroin (um, I'm assuming it was heroin. I'm not exactly a drug expert) into it? Even your junkie friend knew it was a bad idea! I felt bad for all of them, even though it was Harry, Marion, and Ty's own faults for where they ended up. But I felt worst of all for Sara. I mean, she just wanted to be on TV! She just wanted to be able to fit into her red dress and be on TV and be loved by her son and dead husband! :( Hate hate hate that doctor. god. I mean, she got the pills from the doctor! How was she supposed to know it was speed and she'd go insane and be all dead on the inside by the end? :( Um, but I did like it. Even if it was depressing.

Jackie fell asleep right after Requiem for a Dream started. Oh, but it was really amusing, because the second the credits started rolling, Jackie like shot straight up in her bed and said something and then went back to sleep. It was crazy. She says she doesn't remember doing that, either. Anyways, after Requiem for a Dream, Tiffany put on Peter Pan again because it was her favorite movie of the night and she really loved it and we watched the beginning of that. I fell asleep a little more than half-way through it, at around... 9 or 10 AM, I think. I slept for about an hour, then woke up and dozed in and out of sleep for another half an hour.

Tiffany fell asleep about when I did, but she continued to sleep. Jackie and I ended up playing DDR on the DDR pad they have with Tiffany's little brother, Alex. Geez. I thought Andrew was good at DDR. Alex is fucking insane. Seriously. It's just like... man. I don't understand how you can like... make your body do that. Tiffany woke up part-way through and instantly began playing.

Jackie had SAT class at 1:30 but we still wanted to hang out more so I called Annie at like 12:40 and asked if she could hang out. She could, so the three of us went to the UCI marketplace (where the SAT class is) and killed time before Jackie's class. After Jackie left, Annie arrived. We walked around and ate food and didn't do much of anything. We saw so many fucking people we knew. Or, at least, I did. Tina was working so she came by quickly and then we went over to where she works, at Lee's, at the end of her shift. I also saw Lorraine, this girl who went to middle school with me (and I think she goes to my high school, but I don't see her very often) and she was working at this really awesome gelato place, and when I went in the second she saw me she was all "Oh, hi Michelle!" pretty enthusiastically and it was kind of weird because I didn't really expect her to remember me because we were never great friends and we don't really hang out with the same people. But it was nice, and she was nice, so yeah. Rebecca Huebsch also walked by and made eye contact and waved to me, which was also strange, but nice of her. Saw Rosa leaving Le Diplomate's Cafe and saw Yuko starting her shift when Tina was ending hers and saw Tiny Tom (...we're not going to be able to call him this for much longer. He's almost as tall as we are. :() there too. I also saw some other people I recognized. It was pretty crazy. Oh, oh, I almost forgot, saw Sarah and her boyfriend and Jenna at Le Diplomate's Cafe. That was nice. Anyways.

After bumming around at Lee's waiting for Tina to finish her shift, we decided to go to the Woodbridge center place to see a movie, since Annie and Tiffany didn't have too much money and movies there are only $2 (of course, they're all like... several month old movies, but still). We ended up seeing The Longest Yard. It wasn't like... the best movie ever and it was predictable and all, but it still ended up being a good movie. I liked it. It did have some surprising moments, too, which was good. Oh, and I saw Ziyad (drum major for next year) working at the movie theater we went to. Geez, saw so many people today! Insanity!

Jackie, lying down, waiting for Tiffany to stop disinfecting her ear so we could go back to watching movies.

Tiffany, returning from disinfecting her ear.

Annie, looking emo at Cha for Tea.

Annie stalks Tiffany.

Annie attempts to grab/slap/molest Tiffany's ass.

Tiffany eats her sandwich from Le Diplomate Cafe. She was very enthusiastic about this sandwich.

Tiffany laughs at something.

Annie hands my phone to Tiffany. We attempted to make a phonepost to my LJ several times, but they all ended up too long or too completely random that I ended up not posting any of them.

Annie, looking skeptically at Tiffany.

Tiffany, looking bored.

Jackie, when we visited her during her break at Princeton Review class.

Jackie's shoes. She painted the chains on them herself, originally they were plain black.

Annie stole Tiffany's handkerchief thing that was in her back pocket and Tiffany's attempting to get it back.

Annie and Tiffany about to makeout. ...ok, technically Tiffany's still trying to get her handkerchief back. But don't they look like they're about to makeout?

Annie, looking all scary.

Annie, attempting to look innocent.

Tiffany, trying to get her handkerchief back from Annie. Annie's cracking up because she had handed it to me and Tiffany didn't realize it.

That is it. I am exhausted now. Except, I have to clean my room in 2 1/2 hours because Mrs. Nichols is coming over to install the program used to do the band website, and I still have to do the website mock-up for Mrs. Bentley. Plus the fact that I have yet to begin my summer reading assignments or the assignment my college counselor gave me. guh.

I totally love the Woodbridge Center movie theater. Especially since they put new lighting and seats in and I no longer have to check the seats for gum by the light of my cell phone. Also, the fact that popcorn is still $4 and the tickets are only $2 is just a little ridiculous.

Also, something strange, but cool! Degrees of seperation between you and I (which sounds a little creepy to me, stalker-like I guess, but, well.)

1. You know Annie.
2. Annie is dating Joseph L. (if I'm thinking of the right Annie because my brain's a little muddled right now)
3. Joseph is on Academic Decathalon with ME.

It's a small world in The Bubble.

I know, the Woodbridge Center movie theater is pretty awesome. But yeah, it was pretty ridiculous that it cost me $2 for the movie and $7 for a regular popcorn and regular coke. Still, better than the other theaters.

Oh my god, that's insane! Yeah, the Annie I know is dating a guy named Joe (I don't know his last name - I go to a different high school than them), so I'm assuming that's the same Annie and Joe. Wow, that's really crazy. It really is a small world in The Bubble.

I know it's been a while since you wrote this entry, but I just watched the ending of Requiem For A Dream (it was on IFC) and I can't even imagine watching the whole thing! The most disturbing and shocking movie I have ever seen!! Whoa...just...gyaaaah. Excellent movie, cinematically, but I just wish I could get it out of my head!!

Oh god, I know. And what we saw was the like... I don't know. Uncut version? Director's cut? Something like that. And... yeah. The end of that was like... horribly disturbing. But yeah, it was definitely an excellent movie. It took like a week for me to stop thinking about it.
