Yesterday was our last marching band competition of the year. We placed 6th out of 6 for band and colorguard, so yeah, didn't do so well. It was really fun, though, especially tbe bus rides, since we got Charter buses because Temecula's like 1 1/2 hours away from us.

Then after that Jackie and I slept over at Emma's house. We saw our freshman year's band DVD which was really amusing and then Emma made eggs and in the morning Jackie made eggs and they owned Emma's, and we watched the Lion King at like 3 AM and in the morning we watched Man in the Iron Mask. It was a fun night.

Unfortunately now I have mounds of homework to do, and I should've gone to the animal shelter today but there's no way that's going to happen now and I think my mom's going to get made at me for not going, but that's ok.

So tired. This week is going to be pretty good after Monday, though, because we only have school till Wednesday and Wednesday is a minimum day, so it's pretty much pointless because we only have half hour periods. Essay tomorrow I need to get through first, though.

guh. I am exhausted. But it was a very fun night and day. We spent pretty much the entire night watching movies. We saw Peter Pan (the non-animated one that came out a few years ago), Moulin Rouge, The New Guy, Old Boy, and Requiem for a Dream. Then today Tiffany, Annie, and I bummed around the UCI marketplace and then went to the Woodbridge Center place and saw The Longest Yard.

More details, including my thoughts about all the movies. )

Pictures from last night and today )

That is it. I am exhausted now. Except, I have to clean my room in 2 1/2 hours because Mrs. Nichols is coming over to install the program used to do the band website, and I still have to do the website mock-up for Mrs. Bentley. Plus the fact that I have yet to begin my summer reading assignments or the assignment my college counselor gave me. guh.

Today was this lunch thing for Mike Tseng, since he's going to Purdue, like, today, or something. Jackie was supposed to come, but last night her away message was all "Mom's mad at me. I don't know about tomorrow anymore" and then she didn't show up, so I'm assuming that means she also can't do the sleepover tonight. =/ That sucks. There's no real point in doing it now that both Annie and Jackie can't. Maybe we'll try again before school starts.

But anyways, the lunch was fun. Lots of people there: Emma, Soan, Andrew, Michele Wong, Kiyoshi, Mike Tseng, Mr. Austerman, Alex, Schmee, and Dan (the Man). I think that was all. It was a cool place, too. Like, you had these thingies and one side was red and one was green, and they'd come by with meat and serve you some if your thing was on green. Of course, I'm an incredibly picky eater so I didn't want any of the meat they had and never turned mine over, but still. I found it cool.
A few pictures from the lunch. )

Ah! Jackie just IMed me and said her mom got happy 'cause she improved like 100 points on an SAT diagnostic test, so she can still do the sleepover! Awesome. :D I'm happy now.

Anyways, yesterday I actually put loads of stuff up on my walls. I had figured yesterday would be like Wednesday, with me not really doing anything all day until like 8, but I actually worked pretty hard. I'm so happy with it now. I'll upload pictures once I'm sure I won't add anything else. It probably won't look any different to anyone else, but it's a huge change for me. It feels so refreshing. I did get a blister on my index finger, though, from pushing in all the pushpins.

Wheee, I'm excited now. Tonight should be fun. :D

gah. I had to wake up at 7 this morning for an orthodontist appointment. Evil. And they're going to make me see this speech therapist/jaw therapist thingy to see if they can get my bite to how it should be. eck. I'm really tired of braces. On the awesome side, though, when I was at the orthodontist, the radio station started playing Save the Last Dance for Me. It wasn't the version that's in QaF 122, but it was still pretty cool.

My last SAT class is today, but I managed to convince my mom to let me skip it. It was really easy, too. I mean, I told her that all we're doing today is finishing this math packet I already finished and then having a party, which is true. And she was all "Oh, that just makes it easier for me" because she has these Wednesday night meetings to go to and now she won't have to be late to it today. Of course, I didn't mention that the main reason I want to skip it is because I have one last essay due today that I really don't want to write. But woohoo, no more SAT class for me! :D Now I need to get a start on my summer reading, though.

On Friday night I guess I'm sleeping over at Tiffany's house with Jackie (...and Tiffany). We were planning to have Annie come too, but it turns out she can't make it. Tiffany talked about trying again before the school year starts so we can have one with Annie, too. But yeah, that should be fun. I haven't seen Jackie since the band beach party, or Tiffany since... I don't know. Warped Tour or the volunteer orientation.

blah. It's 9:15 AM and usually I'd still be asleep but once I've woken up I just can't get back to sleep. I'm going to be dead tonight, but for now I'm wide awake. Maybe I'll make some icons or something.

Edit: Dude, so. Like, a year ago at the end of the schoolyear I really wanted to be the person who did our band's website because it's really, really ugly. And I think someone like Soan even asked our band director for me and she was all "Well, Mike Nichols's mom is doing it now and he'll still be in band next year so she'll still do it for next year." But then now, I mean he's leaving so his mother won't be helping out with band anymore, and then my mom's now on the like... band parents board thingy and was asked to find a parent to do the website and my mom told me and I was all "OMG I WANT TO DO IT" and she was all "Oh, but Mrs. Bentley wants it to be a parent" and I was all "...blah" but then she said she'd see if she could convince Mrs. Bentley to let me do it and have my mom be totally responsible for it in case I like... screw it up somehow. And she said yes! So yay, I get to be the webmaster of the band website and make it all less ugly and wheee. :D ...um, the only crappy thing is now I'm afraid of what I've gotten myself into, since like... junior year and I'm going to be busy like whoa. But, whatever. I'll deal with it. And I can make it less ugly! It's so freaking ugly now. So yay. I'm mostly happy about this. (...and in any case, it's always something to put on my college applications.)
