brokenrecordAnother day of band camp. The lap around the field gets easier every day, which is very good. And today we started drill! I'm excited. And as whole we're looking and sounding a lot better than last year, which is very, very good. I am looking forward to band camp being over, though. While I don't hate it, it's not really the most fun in the world. Marching and running around in the late morning during August in southern CA isn't exactly my idea of a good time. It'll be better once school starts and we only have to march for an hour and 15 min (except on Thursdays it's an hour and Wednesdays it's an hour and a half. But close enough) and very little time will be spent on basics.
I realized that I have less than two weeks to do a bunch of assignments my college counselor assigned me. And that's in addition to two summer reading books and finishing massive updates on the band website. Yeah. I need to get working.

I don't know if anyone on my FL is from London, but I hope that if anyone is, they're all right, and anyone else they know who's there is all right as well.
Yeah. It's probably obvious when this is from, but in case it isn't, it's from June 7th, when the terrorists bombed the subways and the double decker bus in London.

3. Like, one person called me Shelley when I was in 5th grade briefly.
THREE SCREEN NAMES YOU HAVE HAD:
1. Michell976 (I hated this screenname. It was my first ever, my dad made it for me, and I hated telling people it because they'd be like "WAIT, YOUR NAME IS SPELLED MICHELL?" And I'd be all "...NO. IT'S JUST A SCREENAME. NO ONE SPELLS THEIR NAME MICHELL." Um, yeah. Anyways. I'm glad I don't have to use that anymore)
2. MichelleKwanOwnz (hee, I was in... 7th grade and it was during the winter Olympics and I loved Michelle Kwan. I only had this one for like a month, but it amuses me)
3. SPHeathLown (this one I probably had longer than any other, except for maybe Michell976. I made it in like 7th grade and didn't change it until... 9th or 10th. SP=Simple Plan [I had just gotten into them and no one else knew who they were (yeah, it was that long ago) but I was totally obsessed], HeathL=Heath Ledger [I saw 10 Things I Hate About You at a friends sleepover and became obsessed. I obviously get easily obsessed], own=...like... SP and HeathL own. Or pwn. Whatever.)

2. figure out how to write an essay (it's really been hit or miss for me: last year, out of four essays, I got an 88, an 86, a 96, and an 80. Date: 2005-08-26 03:23 am (UTC)My friend moved to New Zealand when I was 8, so since then I've always wanted to visit there because of that. But also, I've heard that it's really gorgeous and a very nice place, and I think it'd be interesting to visit. I went to England when I was 9 or 10, but I don't remember it very well, and I wasn't very interested in it then, so I'd really like to get a chance to see it again.
