Aug. 28th, 2005 04:42 pmSo, this morning I was all to my mom "I want to get school supplies today" and she agreed. So after lunch, we went to the UCI marketplace so I could go to Movato (I may be spelling that wrong). It's a Korean store that sells like... pencils and pens and erasers and a bunch of other stuff, but I went for the pencils and erasers, since I like that stuff a lot more than the pencils they have at Office Depot. Unfortunately, it was closed. I'll just get it tomorrow, though, or whenever we go to the UCI marketplace next for lunch or whatever. Then I was all to my mom "...you know, I kind of want new shoes" and my mom was all "Sure!" since I only have one pair and I've been wearing them for a year. So we decided to go to the Spectrum to go to the Vans store to get shoes. In the car I found a bottle of sunblock which she had said she thought she left at the car wash yesterday. She was all "Finding that won't get you money" (since earlier in the week I found these shoes she had been looking for and she offered me $5 if I was able to find them) "but it might be worth another pair of shoes." So wheee, two pairs of shoes!
So then we went to the Spectrum and to the Vans store. I found this pair that I saw last week when I went to the Spectrum with Tiffany that I liked, but they were like $40 so I didn't want to buy them on my own. I was saving my money for the thingy we went to in Anaheim the next day. So I got those, and then while we were waiting, I saw this messenger bag on the wall and I had been wanting a new backpack since I've been using the same one since 8th grade, and it was pretty cheap, so my mom agreed. It's pretty plain, just like... black. But I like it. Plus, this gives me a place to put patches and stuff! And pins. My pins always got ripped off my backpack, but I think they'll be ok on a messenger bag.
Then we walked back through the Spectrum and stopped at the other shoe stores. I didn't see anything I liked at that one that's called... meh, I forget. It's like... a name, and it starts with an R. Anyways. So we kept walking and we went into Eilatan and there was this one pair I really liked, but they were guys shoes and the lowest size they came in were an 8 1/2 or 9 guys and... I'm an 8 1/2 or 9 womens, so way too big. I was sad that I couldn't get those. But then I saw these two pairs of Converse shoes I liked, so I tried them both on, and unfortunately they didn't come in half sizes and the 8's were two small, so I ended up getting 9's in both. One pair is slightly large, but I think it'll be ok if I tie it tightly. My mom agreed to get me both pairs of shoes if I promised to wear them both, so yay, 3 new pairs of shoes! Watch out Tiffany, I'm catching up to you. >:O (Not really. She has like 15-20 pairs of shoes.)
After that we went to Office Depot and got a bunch of school supplies (so much fun. I'm such a dork, I love shopping for school supplies) and then home.

Unfortunately, I can't wear the shoes much until marching band is over because I don't want to get them dirty from marching. But I'll have some chances to wear them. Wheee, I love having all this new stuff. :D So fun.
