Oh my GOD did I adore that episode.
Bright/Hannah: aksfj so sweet! geez. Made me nearly cry three times! Well the third was between Amy and Hannah, the very last scene [which was done very well, I thought; I loved the sweet, silent moment between the two of them hugging, with all the chaos of teenagers who don't have to worry about crap that serious going around them. Beautiful]. But man, I love them together. Not even necessarily in a relationship sense [definitely would like if they got together, but right now I'm enjoying their developing friendship]. They're just so sweet together, ahhh. At the beginning of the season, I read a few spoilers, and didn't think I'd like Hannah very much [though mostly because I thought she'd serve only to tear Amy and Ephram apart], but now I absolutely adore her.
Also, the line before the wonderful moment between Hannah and Amy, the "Sometime's he's conveniently Yiddish", absolutely cracked me up.
Jake/Nina: Man, beginning of the season I liked Jake, but really didn't want a relationship between the two. I was still hoping for Nina/Andy. Now I would absolutely hate if they tore Jake and Nina apart and put Nina with Andy. Andy totally doesn't deserve her. Ahhh and Jake and Nina make me so giddy when they're together. So fabulous. I really don't want them to break up like... ever. I absolutely adore them together now.
Andy/Amanda: God, I can't wait for this plotline to end. The only part of the show these days that I really dislike.
Fabulous episode. Would be even better if it weren't for Andy/Amanda.
Awesome episode.
The last line was absolutely perfect, and delivered so well. Emily definitely deserved it. Normally I like Christopher well enough, but agh with the hate this episode. Though, I don't suppose I was meant to find him terribly sympathetic. Didn't he pretty much berate Lorelai for suggesting she had been waiting for him? And yet here Lorelai's in a committed relationship, and he thinks it's fine to just waltz in and expect her to take him back? And really, Lorelai kissing him at 14 was the happiest moment of his life? Not, I don't know, the birth of either of his daughters? Man. I loved Luke mentioning things like Rory having the chickenpox as a kid and him being there, and such. I love them giving some backstory to the Luke/Rory relationship. Things like his blowup at Dean earlier this season and his protectiveness of her with Logan make more sense and feel more natural. And no way does Christopher get to pull the "I'm her Dad!" card over Luke with all that. Oh, and I totally loved the "Get out of my way, Chris!" I'm glad she wasn't wavering between the too, like the promo kind of made it seem. She wasn't concerned with him at all, she was focused solely on Luke. I really am liking this Luke/Lorelai/Christopher triangle more than I thought I would when I first heard about it months ago, especially with the addition of Emily to it. That is, as long as Lorelai crying in her bed and Luke and Lorelai being separated doesn't last longer than, like, an episode.
I actually enjoyed Rory in this episode, and lately I haven't been liking her very much. I like where they're going with Rory/Logan, but I hope it's a short-lasting relationship.
One of the best episodes of the season. Going to be majorly pissed/upset if Lorelai and Luke aren't back together within the next episode or so, though. Hopefully the next episode will be just as good as this one.
Veronica Mars is so my favorite show on television right now.
I felt proud that I actually figured out that the brother was involved with the kidnapping right from the very start. I mean, there really was no reason for that character to be involved, unless he had something to do with the kidnapping. So, I figured from the second we were introduced to him that he was the kidnapper, and I was really proud that I was correct [...even though it became pretty obvious]. I think there have been better A-plot mysteries, but I enjoyed it well enough, and even though I figured out the brother was involved, I had no clue how he was involved, so it was fun watching that play out.
The second the scene at the party started, I knew that Yolanda and Logan would end up kissing. Wasn't quick enough on the uptake to realize that Yolanda was the girl who Veronica saw kissing Logan which led her to tell Lilly and caused Logan to partially blame Veronica for Lilly's death until the moment Veronica saw them kiss, even though I had already figured that she would catch them kissing. I really love that they returned to this and expanded it. It's things like this that make this show so much better than anything else on TV now [...at least, that I'm watching].
Last thing I predicted: totally knew the knock at Veronica's door would be Logan wanting help to find his mom. This is partially due to breaking down from the hiatus, searching for spoilers, and seeing a spoiler that said Veronica and Logan would work together to find his mom, since he believes she's still alive. Absolutely loved the end. Loved all the Logan scenes, actually. The scenes between Logan and his father were just fantastic. Wonderful acting by both, and I like his father saying he was giving up acting. Simply awesome.
Man, I felt like this was one of the weaker episodes of the series, but I still absolutely adored it. I am completely in love with this show. Even its weakest episodes are fabulous.
...oh, but next week? Bring back Weevil. Missed him.
