So, guess what I just saw?


omg this is totally my favorite movie ever.

geez, where do I even start?

Aw, man, poor Book. And I wanted to know more about him! I kind of figured he was going to die, though. He had hardly been in any of the movie, and everyone else was dead, and yeah. I don't know. I just kind of figured he would. ...there's not really anything more to say because he was in like 2 scenes (bah!), but... poor Shepherd. I'll miss him.

And holy FUCK. Going into the movie, I was completely unspoiled (no idea what the plot would even be about), and I figured "Ok, none of the major characters are going to die." Then it seemed like the Shepherd would die, and when it turned out I was right, I was all "Ok, one is understandable. I think they would have to kill off one of them. BUT THAT WAS IT." So when Wash died? geez. I was in total shock. And what a horrible time to do it! Everyone was laughing at his line, and then all of a sudden... wtf?! Poor Wash, and poor Zoe.

I didn't like Jayne at the start of the series, but as it progressed, I warmed up to him, and I definitely loved him in this movie. "...I might live." Hee!

River is crazy awesome. I don't know what else to say about her. She just kicked ass this entire movie.

Kaylee/Simon! ee! But no Mal/Inara. :( I like both Kayle/Simon and Mal/Inara, but Mal/Inara a little more. And plus, I figured Kayle and Simon were a lot more likely, which made me want Mal and Inara to happen more. But still, Kaylee and Simon were awesome. "Well, screw that, I'm going to live!" Aw, too awesome. And the last Mal/Inara bit was pretty great too.

Oh, and Mal by himself. MAL! I just fell in love with him. I mean, I loved him throughout the series, but somehow I fell in love with him even more, because god was he amazing. He's just... guh. MAL!

...and now for the actual plot! Heh. I'm glad it went into way more... depth about the Reavers. I never really cared for Bushwacked much because it was like the 2nd episode I saw, and I was just "...uh. I don't get all the fear." I don't know, it just felt a lot more real in the movie.

;alksjfd I don't know what else to say. I love this goddamn movie.


Ok, so now I want to see it again. ...hey, Lulu? Want to maybe see Serenity again with me? ;) Or anyone (Annie? Jackie? You guys like Joss Whedon stuff!)! I think you could understand it all right without seeing the series! And if you don't understand something, you can just ask me! :)

...ok, now I have the urge to watch Firefly.

I'd love to see it again, but my parents probably won't let me go out again for a while cause of a birthday thing on Sunday and the volunteer thing on Saturday. Le sigh.

Well, how about in a few weeks? Tomorrow I guess I could at night, but it's a hectic day already, so I think that's a bad day, and Sunday's are always bad because of homework and I have to volunteer. And next weekend... don't even talk to me about Saturday. SAT till 12:30, football game at 1, Green Day concert at... well, after the football game. And that Sunday I have to make dessert for French class with some people. But but like... two weeks from this weekend, or even three!

But if you can't, I'll try to find someone else to drag with me to see it. Because seriously, that rocked. And I'd really like to see it again not fearing for every single character's lives.

Ah, yay, good. I think October 15, the week after the SATs and my very, very full day is the PSATs, but those end at like noon-ish. And anyways, those weeks after October 8th are good because things quiet down then for a little bit and I don't have any football games or competitions for a few weeks, which is good. So yeah, I'll start bugging you to ask about that in a few weeks. ;)

I was shaking when he died - it came out of nowhere and suddenly there was no Wash and Joss is such an evil man and now I'm all upset again. I feel so sorry for Zoe - Joss just doesn't like happy couples! Damn the man save the empire.

Oh, I know, I feel so horrible for Zoe. I should've remembered that Joss loves to kill happy couples, but he fooled me into thinking that everyone was safe (after killing off Book).

It's so excited that other people have seen it now and i can say something more spoilery than "omgbestmovieever!". That doesn't stop it from being the best movie ever, of course. I felt exactly the same about Wash. SFX magasine did a spoiler in its review (even though it was headed as spoiler free, they are still apologising for that) which said someone would die and i thought Book was the most likely candidate. So when he did, obviously i thought everyone else was safe. Don't you just hate being wrong? I was so shocked. I have to see it again, not just for the brilliance of it but so i can see what happened in the 10 minutes after wash died and i was still spaced out thinking WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?!

I agree with pretty much everything you said. Well, i've always liked jayne but he was even better in this movie. River became a cooler, more likeable Buffy-type. Mal got darker, zoe got tougher, simon got naked with kaylee. What's not to love?

Good to see i'm not the only one who has the urge to icon firefly, but could you tell me what eps you're planning on doing so i don't feel inadequate?

I know, Wash's death was just totally shocking. Ditn' know about Book beforehand, but after they killed him off, I figured that everyone else must be safe. But then after Wash, all bets were off, and I half expected all of the others to die as well (thankfully I was wrong about that).

Heh, don't know which ones I'll be iconning yet. I've iconned a few random episodes (only like one or two icons per episode, though), but I'm in an icon-making funk right now, so I haven't been able to make very many icons I'm satisfied with.

Ah, you're so lucky you got to see it again so soon. I probably won't be able to see it again for another week or two (though I suppose I was lucky enough to be able to see it the first day it came out, so I shouldn't really complain).
