It's over! :D

Yesterday was the best day of finals in possibly the history of finals. First off, I didn't have finals in either period. Secondly, during 1st period we were just watching a movie, so I spent the time rewatching episodes of The Office (I watched "The Dundies", "Diversity Day", and "Casino Night" since even though I've rewatched the last 3 minutes of that millions of times, I've only watched it through once). Then during 4th period I went to class and my French teacher was like "What, I didn't tell you? You guys can just leave. We're not doing anything" which is especially good because last week people were like "Since we don't have a final can we just not go to class?" and she was all "Of course not! You have to come!" But whatever. So I hung out by the band room studying for English a little until Emma came from her fourth period (since she also was doing nothing) and we went to the AP Physics class to hang out with Jackie (and I forgot that Lulu was also in that class, so I got to hang out with her as well) and we played the best game of Mao ever. Ah, I love playing Mao with people who are playing it for the first time.

Then after that were like interviews for appointed BEC (Band Executive Council) positions, and I tried for Historian (the Historian takes pictures at all the social events and then helps put together a Memory Book and Album thing at the end of the year). I was a bit worried since there are only 3 spaces and so many people were trying out, but today results were posted and I ended up getting the job, so yay! :D

Anyways, now that school is finally out, .
AP Euro: eh. I think I hated it more at the beginning of the year than I do now. Although that might have to do with APs being over so all we've done for the past month is watch people's film projects. And I think I hate Mr. Ives less now, too. I mean, for one, he totally loves my writing, and gives me very undeserved high grades on essays. Also, I mean, he's kind of an idiot, but not like my French teacher. He could be way worse, basically. The class was pretty boring, but it got better second semester when I started taking notes during his lectures. So yeah. I still wish I had taken AP Art History instead, but AP Euro turned out to be all right.

Honors Chemistry: I loved this class at the start of the year and my love for the class kind of faded throughout the year, but I'm still so happy I took this class. First science class I haven't hated since 4th grade (the first year we even started science classes). And I love Mrs. Bunch. She's just awesome. She's so nice and good at teaching and it's awesome when she starts getting really excited about what she's talking about. At the beginning of the year when she'd get like that I'd be like "...whoa. Is she angry at us or something?" because she would seem like it because she'd start shouting, but she was just really excited about chemistry, which sounds dorky, but. I don't know. She's just awesome. I'm glad I'll have her again next year for AP Chem.

Honors Pre-Calculus: Ah, man, I'm so glad I got switched into Kurdziel at the start of the year. She's just so good at explaining things. I kind of wish I had spoken up more in class and she had gotten to know me better so she'd know how much I enjoyed her class. Especially since I'll never have her again. Anyways, the people in my class could kind of suck at times, but overall I loved the class. And I actually kind of loved the subject of the class, too, even. It wasn't bad once I actually started studying and working hard.

French 4: ugh. I can't believe I'm willingly putting myself through another year with her. This class just... sucked. I didn't even have the benefit of thinking she was nice at the start of the year, like I did when I had her freshman year. Luckily, people like Galaxy and Andy and Shirine (sp?) made the class a lot more fun. (Ali, however, just contributed to my irritation.) Overall, my least favorite class, and I learned absolutely nothing.

Honors English 3: Oh, man. Favorite class of the year. My hardest class, the class that caused me the most stress (ok, except for maybe AP Euro. Rereading 16 chapters of the Euro book for semester 1 finals was pretty stressful), but totally my favorite. Mrs. Moore was just such a good teacher. She really made me get a lot more interested in English. I don't even hate poems anymore! I did at the start of the year, but some of them are pretty cool (like, I totally love "Hollow Men" by T. S. Eliot and "Siren Song" by Maragret Atwood. Oh, and both "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" and "Kubla Khan" by Coleridge. And some others, but those are just ones that stood out while I was studying yesterday). And I love everything we read, even Macbeth, which I know a lot of people in my class didn't like. And she introduced us to the wonders of Colin Firth! Oh man, and Wuthering Heights, which may just be one of my favorite books ever, now. Yeah, that was such a fun class. Another teacher I wish I had let know how much I enjoyed her class.

Wind Ensemble: uh. Good? There's not much to say about Wind Ensemble, really. It was fun sitting next to Emma and then sitting next to Sado and then Annie Park joining in on tenor at the end of the year.

So I guess I'm a senior now? Bizarre. I feel like I was just a freshman like yesterday.

Orthodontist appointment next and then beach party! So, expect loads of pictures tonight or tomorrow.

Heh, yeah, this year was definitely a lot of work, but it wasn't too bad. And at least now it's over! :D
