So, I got into my first real car accident today. What happened was this guy I guess was swerving so this girl didn't nkow what to do and I don't know if he suddenly stopped and she crashed into him or if he swerved in front of her and kept going but she stopped suddenly, but in any case someone stopped suddenly and another girl crashed into the car that stopped and I crashed into that girl and then another guy crashed into me. And there was nothing I could've done, either, because it was pretty busy because it was lunchtime, and so if I had swerved into the other lane to miss the cars, I probably would've been hit by another car or hit another car. And I breaked, but I was too close to her to stop in time, and I wasn't tailgating her at all, but as I said it was kind of busy, so I was kind of close to her. So we all got out and my car had the worst damage from what I saw, like the front of mine was worse than the car I ran into. My back was fine even though someone ran into me. While I was on the phone asking my mom what to do, the guy who ran into me pretty much just left, and then the other two girls in front of me left. I got the girl in front of me's phone number and name, but she didn't get mine, and no one got anyone's insurance. So... yeah.

Luckily my parents were really cool about it. They understand that there was nothing I could do. And it wasn't a major accident at all, everyone was fine. I mean, I could've not been wearing a seat belt and I would be totally unbruised and unscratched. But yeah, it still freaked me out a lot, and I was kind of on the verge of crying for an hour or so after that. I'm feeling better about it now, though.

Anyways, The Office premieres tonight! Unfortunately the crash has kind of dampened my excitement for it a little, but hopefully I'll be more excited about it in 3 1/2 hours.

I'm totally ok, I didn't hit them very hard, and the person behind me didn't hit me very hard. It's funny, Jackie and Andrew and Justin were all in the car with me but I didn't even ask if they were ok because I assumed they would be, since it was so minor. But everyone I told, like my parents, or who were walking by (because it was right on Campus Dr.) were like "OMG ARE YOU GUYS ALL OK?!" But yeah, it was fine.

I hope it gets sorted out too. It wasn't my fault, but I think I can still be held responsible for hitting the girl in front of me's car. =/ But then again, she never got my name or number or insurance info, she just left, so... she can't really like tell them it was my fault because she doesn't know who I am. Everyone involved were students at UNI and I think they were also juniors, so they had as little idea what to do as I did.

The sad thing is, I was almost expecting some sort of car problem (minor or major) sometime during these first two block days. Juniors want to test out their new driving privileges, seniors are just sick of school. It's interesting :).
