wtf I want my car back! 2-3 weeks ago when I first took it in they said it would be ready on the 5th, which was last Thursday. My mom told me it'd be like 3-4 weeks, so I was really happy with that, since it was sooner than I expected. But then Thursday they were like "We're almost done, we just got to do this thing, and you can have it Friday." Friday it wasn't done, but they said definitely Saturday. Saturday, still not done, but Monday! Monday it was almost finished, and on Tuesday they'd deliver it themselves to my house. Well, it's Tuesday, and now they're saying it'll be for sure done tomorrow. For some reason, I don't believe them. I mean, I'd be fine with if it they'd just told me in the first place it'd be like three weeks because I wasn't expecting it to be done so soon. And it doesn't even seem like they underestimated the time it would take, because each day they keep saying it'll be done the next day. It just makes me think they're saying it'll be done the next day to placate me when they know it really won't be done for like another week. The thing is, I'd rather they just tell me the truth about when it'll be done then lie to me.

Anyways. Hello to new friends from the fall friending meme! Just to let you (and the rest of my friends list who doesn't already know), I suck at checking my flist on Mondays and Tuesdays because Mondays I get home at 5:15, have until 8 to finish homework (and Mondays I usually have the most amount of homework), watch TV from 8-11, then sleep at 11 so I'm not dead at school the next day, and Tuesdays I don't get home till 8 because of Symphony, and then I watch TV till 10 and that usually doesn't give me enough time to do anything online. But I'll catch up on everything tomorrow afternoon.

Now for TV stuff! Some of this probably doesn't need to go behind a cut, and I don't think I have a lot to say about anything, but here we go anyways:

Heroes )

Studio 60 )

Gilmore Girls )

Veronica Mars )

blah. I still have French homework to finish. Off to do that now.

Gilmore Girls )

I watched House last night too, but I never have anything to say about it. I enjoy it, but I'm not involved enough in the show to have anything to say, or any actual opinions about what should happen (other than boo Cameron/House, yay Wilson/House).

Things in real life have been slowly getting better. I think I posted about how everything seemed to be going wrong, but it's been going up this week, so far. My car will be fixed a week from tomorrow which is a lot sooner than my mom originally told me she thought it would take, which is good, since I really miss having a car.

Supernatural premiere tomorrow night! woohoo! And another new episode of The Office! eee! :D

So yesterday morning the mother of the girl that I hit in the 5-car crash on Thursday came over to my house. I guess the girl picked my picture out of the yearbook and she was able to track me down, or something. She wasn't angry at me or anything, she just wanted to get the bumper of the car fixed because it was slightly dented and she said she felt bad seeing how smashed up my car was, but yeah, so she's going to report it to the insurance company so that means we also have to file an insurance claim, which means that my insurance rates are going up majorly and I'm also probably going to have an at-fault on my record now, because CA laws are ridiculous and if you hit another person's car it's automatically your fault. She'll also have one on her record, but wtf, this is ridiculous. Us two and the guy who hit me are the least at fault for the crash, but we're still going to have it on our records, while the guy who was swerving in and out of the lane and the girl behind him who I found out could've swerved to miss him but instead chose to crash into him are going to get off scot-free. My mom was saying she was glad that the woman found us because it's fairer now, and I'm like "wtf, how is this even fair? I'm not at fault for this at all, I don't care what the law says, and I'm going to have this on my record?" gah.

Yeah, so these past couple of days have just kind of sucked. Everything just seems to be going wrong, everything in the house is breaking, and it's just all... blah. I'm looking forward to it being several months from now, when this is all over.

So, I got into my first real car accident today. What happened was this guy I guess was swerving so this girl didn't nkow what to do and I don't know if he suddenly stopped and she crashed into him or if he swerved in front of her and kept going but she stopped suddenly, but in any case someone stopped suddenly and another girl crashed into the car that stopped and I crashed into that girl and then another guy crashed into me. And there was nothing I could've done, either, because it was pretty busy because it was lunchtime, and so if I had swerved into the other lane to miss the cars, I probably would've been hit by another car or hit another car. And I breaked, but I was too close to her to stop in time, and I wasn't tailgating her at all, but as I said it was kind of busy, so I was kind of close to her. So we all got out and my car had the worst damage from what I saw, like the front of mine was worse than the car I ran into. My back was fine even though someone ran into me. While I was on the phone asking my mom what to do, the guy who ran into me pretty much just left, and then the other two girls in front of me left. I got the girl in front of me's phone number and name, but she didn't get mine, and no one got anyone's insurance. So... yeah.

Luckily my parents were really cool about it. They understand that there was nothing I could do. And it wasn't a major accident at all, everyone was fine. I mean, I could've not been wearing a seat belt and I would be totally unbruised and unscratched. But yeah, it still freaked me out a lot, and I was kind of on the verge of crying for an hour or so after that. I'm feeling better about it now, though.

Anyways, The Office premieres tonight! Unfortunately the crash has kind of dampened my excitement for it a little, but hopefully I'll be more excited about it in 3 1/2 hours.

Ok, so if I'm going 5 mph above the speed limit, you don't get to tailgate me. I mean, I can understand it if I'm going under the speed limit. I'd tailgate me too, then. But if I'm already going over? I'm not going any faster, so just quit it.

Also, today it seemed like it was everyone in the world's goal to get me into a car accident. I mean, first, I'm driving to the animal shelter and this car who clearly sees me decides that it would be the perfect time to just pull out in front of me. Then I'm going back and I'm merging onto the freeway and all of a sudden these two cars go over to the right side of the road and stop right in front of the onramp to the freeway. I mean, wtf? Who does that? Could you maybe try to find a better place to stop that's not right where a bunch of people need to go through? There was a little room to get onto the freeway past them, but for some reason today there were a million cars zooming down the freeway and usually there are, like, none. There was finally a small break and a managed to get on, but it was very irritating.

On another car related note, I went to get gas in the afternoon and I failed miserably at it, and not even how I usually fail at it (not being able to get the gas to start going in when I put the nozzle in). I went to this one I've been to a few times before and a car was in the spot I usually go to. In fact, most of the place was filled, there was only one spot in. But it was on the wrong side for where my gas tank is, so I pulled into the space in reverse. But then once I got there, I was like "No, wtf, wrong side!" So I pulled back out and went the other way, except I realized that, no, I had been right the first time. And I kept driving around doing U-turns changing my mind everytime I got into the spot until finally I figured it out. As if the people didn't think I was insane enough after that, once I was done I was such in a hurry to leave that I totally didn't close the gas tank thing. So as I was leaving this man honked his horn at me and I looked and he shouted "GAS CAP!!!" to me a bunch until I got it and closed it and then raced out of there. sigh. Why do I fail so much?

Anyways, after all that, I went to the Woodbridge theaters with Jackie, Emma, and Soan to see Brokeback Mountain (my third time). sigh. I love this movie so much. But this is my second time buying tickets to a rated R movie since I turned 17, and wtf? WHY WON'T ANYONE CARD ME? I mean, seriously! I could've been going to rated R movies all this time, when I was like 15 and 16, and I never did! wtf is wrong with these people!

!! My car is back and fixed and all lovely again! I am happy. :D Of course, since this car is now fixed, my mom's car started going insane. I mean, it was already in this week to be fixed but today an anti-theft alarm came on while I was driving randomly and then later all the brake failure lights came on at two different instances. We're not having much luck with cars lately.

Anyways. A few Christmas and other random pictures )

I finished all my Dead Like Me DVDs. I actually found myself liking Daisy a lot more this time (though I still wish Betty had stayed on the show). The end of the season 2 finale is so freaking awesome and man, I really wish this show had gotten a third season. It was awesome.

Brokeback Mountain tomorrow! I can't wait. :D

I know this is just about everywhere, but it looks fun: Tell me of a fandom you know I know of and I'll tell you:

01. The first character I first fell in love with
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
03. The character everyone else loves that I don't
04. The character I love that everyone else hates
05. The character I used to love but don't any longer
06. The character I would shag anytime
07. The character I'd want to be like
08. The character I'd slap
09. A pairing that I love
10. A pairing that I despise

Anyways. Lulu! So we're going to Brokeback on Saturday, right? We could go at like 12 or 3:45. Any other time is probably too late for me. So yeah, let me know which one, and if you need a ride.

Ended up taking my car to the SAAB dealership and I think they found what's wrong so I should have it back today all nice and not stopping in the middle of me driving it. So, that's good.
moulin rouge?

I watched Serenity after I got it, and oh, it's so good. I love that movie. I'm forcing my mom to watch it because I think she'd really like it, too (it's totally up her alley - she's a science fiction and fantasy writer, and she loves that sort of stuff). Also, the outtakes are the awesomest thing ever.

Well, today has been an interesting day so far. I went to the animal shelter around 11:00 and it was closed (as it was yesterday, and there must be something I'm missing because the volunteer hours they said this week would be 9-5, and it was well after 9 and well before 5), so then I went to the Spectrum and bought Serenity on DVD because I was too impatient to see if I'd get it for my birthday and I had the urge to see it. Then I got some ice cream and went to my car to eat it. Oh, and after I was done, the car wouldn't start.

Yeah. I sat there for 30 minutes trying to get it to start and even ended up calling my mom who I hadn't wanted to call because she was at a memorial service for her friend's mother, and she told me she'd come when she could. So I continued to sit there and finally I tried it and I worked, so I let her know and then drove home. Well, guess what happened on the way home? The car stopped. Just like my mom's car did last week when I was driving it. sigh. So I tried to pull over to the right side of the road, but I was right in front of an intersection, so I was pretty much just blocking the right-hand turn lane. Luckily, I was able to get it to start about 10 minutes later (and I was like... less than a mile from home. Like... I don't even know how to describe how close I was. It's like a 2 minute drive, pretty much) and eventually managed to get home.

There was a light going off on the dashboard though when I was driving and I looked it up in the owner's manual and it means engine malfunction. So I guess we're going to have to take it in to get the engine repaired.

So, yeah. That's been my day so far. Why am I having such terrible luck with cars lately?

Doctor Who!!! Oh, how I missed you. And will continue to miss you until... what? March? May? Sometime far too long away.

Doctor Who: The Christmas Invasion )

Anyways. So. Today, we went car shopping. The plan was just to like... look at cars and test drive cars and see what there was, and it was supposed to end up being a several day process and by the end of break I'd have a new (used) car. Well, it was a good plan. We first went to the Honda dealership and saw a Honda Civic and a Honda Accord. The Civic was about $13000 (and my mom said originally we'd look around $10000, but I figured there was a little room to go up from that) but when I test drove it I didn't really like how it handled, and it felt like sitting in a tin can. And it had a lot of miles on it, too. The Accord was a lot better, but it was like $17000 and had 77000 miles on it but at least it was roomier and I felt more comfortable driving it. So we left the Honda place and went over to SAAB because my mom's car is in getting fixed and she wanted to check to see if they had made progress and then said we could look at cars around there to see if there was anything in the price range, even though we doubted it, because SAABs are like... more expensive in general, I think (though they are nicer cars). Anyways, we looked and then we found this 2001 SAAB 95 that had only 47000 miles (which isn't bad at all for a 2001) and it was only $16000. I mean, it was less than the Accord and I liked it a lot better and it had less miles (and it was older, too, than the Accord) and it felt comfortable because my mom's car is a SAAB and so I'm used to it, and before I knew it we were inside and discussing our finance options.

So, yeah. Guess what I have now parked in our driveway? :D Ah, it's really nice and I love it and I'm so happy. And right now I have the urge to name it the Tardis, but that's probably because I am a huge dork (and I don't know that I'm entirely serious about that. I may just be still coming off the Doctor Who high. We'll see what I think about it in a month). I'll post a picture of it tomorrow (along with a few Christmas pictures). Also, I got one last Christmas present that my dad forgot to give me yesterday (or maybe he couldn't get it today? I don't know): a little... thingy that plays your iPod over the radio. I had the iTrip thing before but it stopped working with my iPod, and this thing is like... an iCar? maybe? Anyways, it'll recharge your iPod while it's playing in the car, which is really awesome, and you can have multiple stations preset and then change it to whatever's clearest, and yeah, it's just awesome. So yay for that. :D

Anyways, yeah. Good day.
