Oct. 20th, 2006 07:47 pmCaught up on Thursday night TV today (since we had a football game Thursday night so I couldn't watch):
I never have much to say about this show, but I thought this was a particularly funny episode. I loved the line about how sleeping with your best friend's mom is the second worst thing you could do to him, right after sleeping with his dad. hee!
;kljasfd that was so good!
Ryan's whole trip with Dwight was just... completely hilarious. Poor Ryan. Yeah, I just don't know what to say about that storyline, I was cracking up the entire time.
I also loved Pam writing down everything Michael did that day, and Jim and Karen ending up giving the squeaky chair to Andy.
AND THE PHONE CALL! AH! That totally exceeded my expectations. I thought it would be like... pretty much entirely what we saw in the previews and it'd be awkward and last like 5 seconds, but they were talking forever! It was so adorable! It was just sad that Jim thought she wanted to stop talking and so the phone call ended on a bad note. But yay, contact! :D Most shows I usually hate when they drag out a relationship all "will they/won't they", but I'm loving this. It's realistic and it doesn't seem like they're just throwing things out there to keep them apart. Ah, I love this show.
I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying this show. I'm really glad I watched the pilot, 'cause yeah. This is just really good.
Marc and Justin's quasi-friendship was really cute. I love Justin so much. He's such a good character.
I also really love Daniel, and I'm pretty sure I'm shipping Daniel and Betty at this point. I mean, the Chinese food scene last week I thought was pretty cute, and this week how he kept saying that he didn't want to lose her. I really don't want them to get together now, though. If they do get together on the show, I'd want it to be like... seasons down the road. Daniel is a good guy, but I think he still has a little ways to go, and I can't see him really going for her now. And I don't want it to start on Betty's side because I'm not really a fan of the whole... Betty falling in love with her boss and having this huge crush on him when he doesn't feel the same way about her. But I'd really love Daniel to develop feelings for her very, very slowly.
But I'd also be fine if they never get together, because I really just enjoy their friendship and them working together.
Um, yeah. I don't know how much of that made sense. (I'm still kind of on a high from finishing The Office like 8 minutes ago.) But to sum up, I really like this show.
I don't have much to say, but ah! The last scene! That was so just... asl;kj awesome. I mean, this is why I really like this show. I've talked to like one or two friends who have tried watching Supernatural and have only gotten a few episodes in before deciding it wasn't that great, but man. Scenes like that are what make the show great. I love all the... supernatural stuff, the demon of the week and all, but the show would be nothing without the relationship between the brothers. But yeah, I really loved this episode.
Thursday night TV makes me happy. :D
This week was another crazy week, so I haven't been around. I probably won't be able to catch up on all my friendslist unfortunately, but I'll try.
Other than TV, nothing really important has been going on, just been very busy. Had our first marching competition last Saturday. We got 5th out of 5 for both colorguard and drumline, and 4th for band (half a point away from 3rd, though!). Not very surprising, because we've never been like... well-known for being a great marching band, and that show was definitely not our best. To place as well as we did for band is actually really encouraging. We performed really well at the football game so hopefully we can do that again tomorrow, since we have another comp tomorrow afternoon.
Ok, time for Doctor Who and Battlestar Galactica in 15 minutes!
