Haven't been updating much, but nothing much has been going on. Almost half-way done with summer school, and econ is still as boring as hell. But poli sci is going well, so at least there's that.

This afternoon I went to see Over the Hedge with Galaxy, Richard, and Elizabeth. The movie was actually pretty entertaining, which I didn't expect it to be. I usually don't like that kind of movie, but it was cute. And it was fun seeing Galaxy since she spent the past week or so in Boston doing this bio program or something. And Elizabeth, because I won't see her very often when she goes to USC.

Oh and then after the movie we were hanging out for a little and we went to Tower Records and they had this little section with a bunch of DVDs for only $5 and Galaxy saw the second Bridget Jones movie there and she totally freaked out and somehow managed to make every single Bridget Jones DVD fall onto the ground. It was pretty good. But yeah, we both ended up getting it because, dude. $5! ...now I just need to find the first for $5! The first is better, but I still really like the second, so I'm happy to have it. I've been meaning to get them both on DVD for awhile.

I finished Sports Night yesterday. Sad it got cancelled, because it was really awesome (especially after it ditched the laugh track). I don't know, I guess I don't have much more to say than that. I just really enjoyed it. Next up is My So-Called Life and then probably Entourage. Not starting them for a few days, though. I have first drafts of my 3 UC essays due to my college counselor next Wednesday. They actually shouldn't be too bad, they're just one that's 600 words and 2 that are 200 (which is like nothing. I write near to like 500 words in each entry here) and I have them all outlined and I know what I'm writing about, I just have to actually write them. But I promised myself I'd wait until after I finished the essays to start My So-Called Life, because I'm afraid once I start, I won't be able to stop. So yeah.

Edit: ...I think some kids just set off some fireworks in front of my house. Fourth of July was over a week ago, you idiots! If my house burns down, I'm going to fucking kill them.

Happy 4th of July to everyone!

Went to see An Inconvenient Truth with my parents today. Who knew Al Gore could actually be interesting, let alone funny? The concept of the movie doesn't seem like it'd be very entertaining, but I really liked it. I thought it was very well-done.

I've gotten about a little more than half-way through the first season of Sports Night, and I'm really loving it. It's pretty funny (although I could do without the laughtrack. I've heard it's kind of phased out, but I remember reading that like a year ago so I could be mixing it up with some other show), but what I really love about it is all the... emotion, I guess. It's kind of why I like The Office. It's pretty funny during the first season, but what really drew me in was the relationship between Jim and Pam and all the more dramatic elements of the show. I don't know. I'm just really enjoying the show so far and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest.

Anyways, so it's July. I live in Southern CA. And my air conditioner decided that Sunday was the best possible time for it to break. ugh. Also? No one can come in to look at it until Thursday. And the only windows in my room are very tiny and don't get a good breeze in here and my room is already the hottest (or coldest in December/January) room in the house, besides the garage. sigh. I almost wish I had summer school today, just because the rooms have air conditioning blasting at like 60 degrees.
