I got my hair cut and restraightened this morning. I'm so happy with the length, I've been going insane over how long my hair's gotten for, like, a month. It was looking like he wasn't going to cut my hair too short, but after it was all done, it actually came out just right. Unfortunately in 2-3 months, it'll be way too long again, but oh well. I'll just get it cut, I suppose. Ahhh, it feels so short, even though... I mean, it's still 3-4 inches below my shoulders. But I took like... 5 inches off, so it just feels like so much less. Also, I love my hairdressers. They're these two guys in their like... mid-sixties who've been in a relationship now for like... I don't know, 10 years? And they're really adorable together. Seriously. It feels bizarre calling two men who are in their 60's adorable, but they really, really are.

SAT class once again. It was good, though, because I got all the questions on the vocab quiz right and all the questions on this one grammar section of an SAT practice test right. ...unfortunately, this is not nearly as cool as getting 100% on a vocab quiz in school right, seeing as we do not get grades in SAT prep class, unlike normal English at school. So I was kind of unneedlessly stressing about it. Oh well.


I like it. I mean, there are definitely things I have problems with, but overall, I like it. Unfortunately, the thing I had the greatest problem with was the lead character. I'm hoping that through the series she'll actually grow, though, and the actress will grow into the role, so it's not a total loss. I like most of the characters pretty well. I like the premise of the show, even though it wasn't executed as well as it could be. Still, I like it enough to give it a chance when it starts to air, provided that it doesn't conflict with anything else I plan on watching. And even so, I have a DVR player, so I can just record it! :)

The two major problems I had with the pilot:
1) Odd music choices. I mean, I love "Collide" by Howie Day, I really do. But the place they put it, with her examining bones and shit? Totally. didn't. work. There was another instance where I felt that the music really offset one of the scenes, but I don't remember what. I mean, the music is good, it just doesn't work with the show all the time.
2) The anvilicious, repeated phrases: "I don't like psychology" and "I don't get it." The first was all right the first time, though I didn't really like it, but then to have it repeated a million times? We. get. it. Bones doesn't like psychology. She's a scientist. Logic and reason and all that shit (although I don't see how the two are mutually exclusive; maybe if it had to do with religion or fate or some other thing like that, but psychology isn't like... mystical or magical or spiritual, it is a science [um. I think.]). And the "I don't get it"'s by her with all the pop-culture time references? (though "Getting my ducks in a row" isn't exactly pop-culture, and I would think the majority of people born in American with native, English-speaking parents would know that. Her parents didn't "vanish" until she was 15, after all) WE GET IT. SHE DOESN'T CONNECT WITH THE OUTSIDE WORLD. SHE STUDIES BONES AND IS SERIOUS AND DOESN'T WATCH A WHOLE LOT OF TV. OK. DON'T REPEAT IT 1028-98502384 TIMES. sigh.

So, yeah. The show had a lot of problems, but it definitely had potential, so I'll check it out when it airs.

Um. What. The. Fuck? The closest I can guess is that it has something to do with neopets, what with the neopoints thing. I haven't used neopets since I was 12, though, and I didn't exactly use it extensively. I just played the stupid Meerca Chase and whatever other games there were on it (I remember it was the first place I learned how to play BS!). I have no idea what makes this person think I changed their password or whatever. That's ridiculous. I wouldn't know how to do that even if I wanted to. Seriously, this is just... insane. I replied asking what the fuck they're talking about, but they'll probably assume I'm lying. It's just like... blah. Insane.

...yeah. I just felt like posting that. Ok.

It is good. I'm so much happier with straight hair. I've had both, and straight hair is far better for me.

It is interesting, at least to me. I mean, for me for the pilot, as long as I don't outright hate it, I'll give it a chance to get comfortable, for the actors to grow into their roles, for the plotlines to get more intriguing, for the characters to develop, etc. I'll give it a chance, at least. I mean, it was a lot better than the pilot of Point Pleasant, and I followed that to episode like... 4. So I can stick with this. At least for a little while. ...and provided there's nothing I want to watch at the same time.

Awwww. I like the professional straightening so much better, because I don't have to worry about doing it myself ever, and it comes out so much better. Besides, when my hair was curly, I couldn't even straighten it with the flat-iron-type-thing.

Haha, good job. Well, I think it's mid-season, so it won't even air till January. I think. I'm finishing like... blah, lots of series. I have so many eps on my computer to watch but I've been lazy recently. blah.

Yeah, but you're smart, so I don't think you'd have to work for a B. I mean, I know plenty of people who started out with C's this year and had to work for a B. Besides, do you know for sure you'll have Sorey? Different teachers are... different, and I know there's at least one more Honors English 3 teacher, if not two. I don't know. I think it's just kind of... overkill, but maybe that's just me. For all I know, I'll end up struggling for a B- next year. I do know of one junior who's pretty smart but not like... gets A's in everything and does well easily, and she got an A- in Honors English 3. Don't know who she had. Guess it just depends.

I got a B+ in English last semester, meh. And I'm hoping I don't get Sorey, cause Moore and some other CP teacher are teaching honors next year as well. So as long as I can bluff it til college, I'll be good.

Eh, so did I. My English teacher from last year told us that Mrs. Buckner might be teaching honors English 3 this upcoming year. This is good as she is a crappy teacher, but bad because... well, she's a crappy teacher, and you're totally screwed in the future. I want Moore. blah. Well, I heard Sorey is nice and interesting/funny at least, so even if I have to struggle for a good grade, at least it'll be a good class.

No, she's not. I had her freshman year. I thought she knew what she was talking about at the beginning of the year, but she totally didn't. One this one thing, a powerpoint on To Kill a Mockingbird, I read the book and loved it and she gave me a 92, taking off points for really random stuff. Jackie didn't read the book and totally BSed everything and got like a 96 because it looked prettier. And on this other assignment, this newspaper on an outside reading book, she took points off for people who didn't have enough pictures. If I got her, I'd probably switch out (which I'd be able to do since I've already had her before). At the beginning of the year, she seemed like she knew what she was talking about, but by the end, I had totally lost all respect for her. I'd rather have Sorey, even if I ended up getting a C, because at least I'd learn something.

OMG I wanted to watch Bones! The pilot has been leaked? I've been looking through alot of bittorrent sites and haven't found it yet. And I FINALLY saw the season finale of everwood. The whole bright/hannah thing was the cutest thing ever.
