Yeah. That rocked.

Went with Lulu ([livejournal.com profile] violetmist2003) and Tiffany ([livejournal.com profile] _hipsandhearts_). We got in a little after 6 and went into the pit. Not long after, Panic! at the Disco came on.

Panic was so awesome. I've been enjoying their CD, but they were even better live, and it just made me want to listen to their CD more. And they played I think... my 3 favorite songs from the CD, so I was very satisfied. I don't know what else to say. I really want to see them again sometime, they were great. I ended up a few rows behind the barrier at the end of their set, and by the time Boys Night Out came on, I was like 2nd row.

Boys Night Out was second. They were... eh. I got their CD like 2 years ago, listened to it twice, and never listened to it again. Their set sounded just like... noise. I could really discern any music from it. [shrug] Luckily, their set didn't last too long.

Then. Motion City Soundtrack! My favorite band! :DDD Oh, man, they were so good. And they played Time Turned Fragile! I think that's my favorite off Commit this to Memory (though maybe L.G.Fuad is. I'm not sure. The entire CD is awesome). They also played The Future Freaks Me Out, one of my two favorite songs on their first disc, but not Modern Chemistry (my other favorite). Still, they played a good number from both albums, and they were totally fucking awesome live, and I love them and need to see them 5 zillion more times because they rock.

After Motion City Soundtrack I was getting tired and hoped I could find some of the members of MCS because they always go out and talk to fans during the shows. I waited in a long line to get water, and by the time I got out, I saw two members of Motion City Soundtrack! And then I saw Justin Pierre (lead singer)! And then I saw Jesse, another member! Wheee! I first went to Justin Pierre and had him sign my ticket stub and then I told him how awesome they were and asked for a hug, which he gave me (ah they're all so nice!). Then I went over to the other two (...they had all this gory makeup on for Halloween [all the bands dressed up], so I couldn't tell who was who very well) and they signed my ticketstub, and then over to Jesse. I called Tiffany a few times to let her know they were up there if she hadn't already seen them, and I finally got through a little later and she told me she and Lulu had already seen them. But then she came over anyways and I got a picture with Justin Pierre and also one with... I forget. Was it Jesse? Am I making that up? Anyways, I got one with someone else in the band. Tiffany said she should be able to upload the pics, so I'll post them once she has them. She got a photo pass, so she has some from all the bands performing as well, so I'll try to get those if possible. After getting a picture with Justin Pierre, we went back one more time to him and I got a MCS shirt I had bought (along with a MCS sweatshirt) signed by him (all the others had gone back by then, he stayed out the longest).

During all this, The Starting Line did their set. I missed it entirely. I'm not too bummed, though. I was looking forward to seeing them, but I could hear their whole set, and they didn't play any of my favorite songs, except for The Best of Me, which is kind of getting old now, and Bedroom Talk, but there are others I like on their new disc more. Their set wasn't that long, either.

Fall Out Boy came on a little after that. I went back into the pit for the first 3 songs and got pretty far in, but then people kept stepping on my jeans and the right pants leg ripped halfway up to my calf. So, I left the pit then, even though the damage was kind of already done. My mom's going to attempt to sew it up, though, so hopefully it'll be ok. I like those jeans. bah.

Fall Out Boy's set was really good. I didn't see it that closely, but it was fun all the same. I want to see them again when I'm not already dead tired and my pants aren't ripped so I can mosh while watching them. They played Dance, Dance, and Where is Your Boy, and Sophomore Slump or Comeback of the Year, so I was happy. Not Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying, though, which would've been nice. But Chicago is so Two Years Ago! My other favorite from the first disc, and I think they also played The Pros and Cons of Breathing (though I could be wrong on that).

It ended around 11. I also got a Panic! at the Disco shirt and The Starting Line shirt somewhere in there (right after seeing Justin Pierre like 3 times, I believe, before Fall Out Boy's set). We went out to the tour buses to see if we could meet anyone, and Tony from MCS was there, but he left before we could get up the nerve to say hi. Then the security dude said that Fall Out Boy wouldn't be coming out so we should go home, and then another security guy came and demanded that we leave, so we did. As we were walking, we saw Tony at the corner of the street, and then realized that Justin Pierre was with him. We said hi, and then they asked us directions to In 'n Out, which amused me greatly. We had a semi-converstaion with him! Yeah. I found it cool.

But yeah, that was about it. Fucking awesome, though. God, I love Motion City Soundtrack. All the bands (...well... except maybe Boys Night Out) were freaking awesome, but Motion City Soundtrack is just like the coolest band ever. I love them.

Aw that's so awsome! Your night sounded kick ass. I was there too actually 'cause I work at the Bren. I was working the concessions so I missed most the bands play. I really wanted to see MCS and TSL though. But I was able to watch FOB's set, meet them and take a picture with Pete so it's all good =) Can't wait to see your pictures.

Oh, seriously? That's crazy, I had no idea you worked there. It sucks that you missed most of the bands, though, but it is awesome that you got to take a picture with Pete and catch FOB's set.
