Hope everyone had a fun St. Patrick's Day. Mine consisted of seeing Atonement with my mom for the second time (it was her first time, and she really enjoyed it). It was somehow even more gorgeous (in terms of cinematography and how it was shot) the second time, even though I thought it was ridiculously beautiful the first time I saw it. And I really need the soundtrack.

Anyways, time for me to finally answer that "Tell me what to blog about meme."
I only received one thing to blog about: heartpause told me to blog about pre-marital sex. So, here's a blog:

So, first off, I'm an atheist, which... I'm not sure if I've mentioned before, or very often. So religion doesn't really affect my views about pre-marital sex at all.

Basically, I think it's totally fine, provided obviously that it's consensual and protection is used (well, as long as you don't want diseases/babies. If you want either of those things, than I guess go ahead without it). And obviously I don't approve of it if it's like 13 year olds having sex. But otherwise, I guess, go for it.

Personally, I doubt I'd wait until marriage to have sex, but I also wouldn't have a one-night stand or anything like that. I'd probably have to be with a guy for at least a few months before I'd want to have sex.

Also, the very obvious stupid thing about being against pre-marital sex is... what about people who want to have same-sex sex? I mean, I'm sure that the people of the world against pre-marital sex are also against same-sex sex. But it seems ridiculous to be against pre-marital sex when not everyone in the country can get married. (Of course, I also have huge issues with same-sex couples not being able to get married, but that's a different topic.)

Heh, so was that a satisfactory blog? Sorry, I didn't really have much to say.


I thought I'd be better about coming up with things to post about during spring break without all my distractions from school and such, but... my mind's just kind of gone blank. Oh well. I'm enjoying being able to relax.

Oh, question: I've seen that thing about not posting in a 24 hour period because of LJ being ridiculous about the basic accounts and such. What day is that supposed to be? Because I saw for a day or two people saying Wednesday, and recently I've seen people saying Friday, so was there a post somewhere I missed about pushing it back until Friday? Or is it all disorganized and half the people participating in this are going to do it Wednesday and half on Friday? It'd be awesome if anyone could tell me for sure.
