I went shopping with my mom yesterday and by total accident got a pair of shoes and t-shirt that match perfectly. It's so weird. Photographic evidence! Like, the patches on the shoes and the design on the t-shirt look so good together. I have no idea how that happened. I didn't even realize it until I got home and saw them next to each other. It's fun when that happens!

I watched the two episodes of Miss Guided on Thursday, and the show either got better, or it was funnier than I remembered. I got more used to the confessionals, and I actually laughed out loud several times. Not the best sitcom ever, but it's not bad. Of course, I'm sure it'll be canceled immediately. I also watched the last episode of The Return of Jezebel James, and that show really isn't getting any better. There are only 4 new episodes left, though, and Michael Arden is totally adorable and awesome in his role, so I'll probably end up watching the rest.

I feel like I need to justify my reasons for participating in the LJ strike after reading some of the posts by people who didn't strike. LJ Strike Comments )

Going to see In Bruges with my parents today. Ugh, last full day home. I am not looking forward to going back to school. The rest of this semester is going to be hell. Can it be May yet?

I alluded to it in that post a few days ago, but I figured I'd state that I'm participating in the 24 hour, no-content LJ strike on Friday from midnight to midnight GMT (so, 5 PM Thursday night my time to 5 PM Friday night). I imagine everyone's heard about this by now so I'm not going to search around for the the post that explains what's going on, but if you haven't, let me know, and I'll find a link.

Anyways, today I got my hair cut (nothing major, just trimming split ends) and then went to see Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day with my mom, which was really cute. It's not the most brilliant film ever, but it's also not trying to be. It's just lighthearted and really fun (although extremely short; it's barely over 90 minutes). Frances McDormand and Amy Adams are great, but Lee Pace. Oh, god. I love Lee Pace. His accent! His SINGING! Watching this really made me miss Pushing Daisies and wish that it could come back before next season. It also makes me really want to do a Wonderfalls rewatch and, of course, my DVDs are back at school, since I felt like doing a Wonderfalls rewatch last fall while watching Pushing Daisies but my DVDs were at home then, so I brought them to school after winter break. Oh well. If I have time and still feel like it, I'll do it next week. It's only 13 episodes, it shouldn't take that long.

I also watched the pilot of Miss Guided. I like Judy Greer normally, but I wasn't that impressed with her. I wasn't really that impressed with the show in general. The confessionals were kind of weird and difficult to get used to, and there were very few laugh-out-loud moments. I don't know. I'll probably watch the two episodes that air tomorrow night just because... I have nothing better to do (and it'll be during the strike! I'll really need to find ways to keep myself entertained).

Ok, off to watch Torchwood now!

Hope everyone had a fun St. Patrick's Day. Mine consisted of seeing Atonement with my mom for the second time (it was her first time, and she really enjoyed it). It was somehow even more gorgeous (in terms of cinematography and how it was shot) the second time, even though I thought it was ridiculously beautiful the first time I saw it. And I really need the soundtrack.

Anyways, time for me to finally answer that "Tell me what to blog about meme." Meme answer! )

I thought I'd be better about coming up with things to post about during spring break without all my distractions from school and such, but... my mind's just kind of gone blank. Oh well. I'm enjoying being able to relax.

Oh, question: I've seen that thing about not posting in a 24 hour period because of LJ being ridiculous about the basic accounts and such. What day is that supposed to be? Because I saw for a day or two people saying Wednesday, and recently I've seen people saying Friday, so was there a post somewhere I missed about pushing it back until Friday? Or is it all disorganized and half the people participating in this are going to do it Wednesday and half on Friday? It'd be awesome if anyone could tell me for sure.

gah. I really wish I had found out about the whole mass exodus from LJ thing sooner, since I just renewed my paid account a few weeks ago. Although I probably would have anyways, because I love having room for this many icons and I don't like the free account layouts much, and anyways there isn't really anywhere for me to go yet. I don't like IJ or GJ very much (although I guess I'd go if everyone else left LJ and just keep this account for personal stuff). sigh.

Anyways, had my TB test and Meningitis shot Monday, both of which hurt like hell, but I actually didn't cry this time, somehow. And I actually had a reaction from the TB test this time, but it turned out it was just a bruise and I don't have TB (which, yeah. I was really concerned that I did, what with the previous negative test and the fact that I haven't been in contact with anyone who has TB and I have no symptoms and such). But anyways, I'm glad that's over with.

Um, what else. Jackie leaves (left?) today for Cornell. Next is Emma on Saturday, and then me on Tuesday. I've been looking forward to going to college for months, but now that it's actually coming, it feels sudden. In any case, I've been in contact with my roommate and she seems nice (and doesn't seem like a huge partier from her Facebook, which I was a little afraid of, but of course I can't be certain about that until I'm living with her). And I'm looking forward to the drive up a lot.

I really need to go through all my papers/junk and figure out what I want to take with me. I should also practice for the band audition I'll have the first week of school (auditioning on tenor, but I only have a clarinet so I'm practicing with that, so it feels kind of pointless to me. But I should still probably practice, if only for the fact that I haven't picked up an instrument since mid-June). So of course, instead of doing these things I should be doing, I'm organizing my iTunes library and reading fic. I win at not procrastinating and doing things I should be, obviously.
