Jun. 13th, 2006 05:54 pmomg I think I love The Office.
I was planning on watching it this summer because I heard good things about it, but then yesterday I decided I should probably start downloading it now so I don't have to spend my first couple of weeks of summer downloading. But then it ended up only taking like 3-4 hours for the first season (well it is only like 6 episodes) and I was bored and had nothing to do and so I watched it.
I LOVE JIM AND JIM/PAM SO MUCH OMFG. Like, the show is pretty funny (not funnier than Arrested Development, in my opinion, but then again, what show is?), but I wouldn't like it nearly as much if it were just that. But Jim is the most adorable character ever and Jim/Pam is just too cute and omfg. [dies]
And I kind of like how it's not really explicitly stated anywhere (at least in the first season) that Jim totally loves Pam. It's just kind of like... I don't know. You figure it out for yourself. I don't know why I like it like that, but I do. I love all his expressions to the camera, either when something good happens with Pam or something bad. ;lksjaflj so cute!
Um, what else? I like Dwight a lot. Michael's kind of a hit or miss for me (but I think I'm warming up to him).
I feel like I had more to say, but I mean, I think "The Office", and then my brain just automatically starts going "JIM! JIM! JIM!" with the occasional "JIM/PAM!" thrown in.
And I'm so spoiled for the season 2 finale and I can't wait to get there, but I still have to download season 2, which will take longer because it's a full 22 episode season, and I promised myself I wouldn't start season 2 till after finals, because I don't want to be wasting all weekend watching this show when I should be studying for finals, because yeah. Grades are slightly more important.
Uh, anyways. Moving on from that. uh today in Euro someone presented their historical film project and it was on Elizabeth, and hey, Christopher Eccleston's in it! And he has facial hair! And he's so serious and not at all goofy! No grinning! It's pretty crazy.
I got my schedule for summer school today, and my poli sci teacher is Mr. Sorey! I had him sophomore year for AP US. I hated the people in my class, but I really liked him, so it should be good having him. The teacher for econ is someone I've never heard of, but summer school starts two weeks from yesterday, so I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Date: 2006-06-14 11:38 pm (UTC)I haven't seen the British, so I don't know how it compares. I hear the first episode of the American version is pretty much exactly the same as the first of the British one, so people who have seen the British one first are a little weirded out. But it starts getting into more original material after that.
