Ok, so I'm still not all "OMG BEST SHOW EVER", but I think I do really, really like it.

So, first off, I'm a Kara/Lee shipper. The only two things I knew about the show before I watched it were that there was some conflict between humans and these beings called Cylons, and that I had seen a bunch of fic written about these two characters, Kara and Lee. So I kind of instantly looked out for them and I'm not sure if I started liking them because I felt I was supposed to or because I really did like them, but in any case, I love them now. And as much as I love their kiss in Home Pt. 1 and the almost-sex in Scar, I really just love them being best friends. I think they're adorable when they're being all happy and friend-y.

I also totally love Kara. Lee... I thought I loved, but then Black Market bored me to death and I'm not sure if it was because the episode just sucked or because a whole episode of Lee was too much or a combination of the two, but after that I was just kind of ambivalent towards Lee. He's better in small doses, for me. But Kara I just love completely. She can be kind of Mary-Sue-ish at times, but she definitely also has flaws, which I love. Yeah, I don't know what else to say about her. I just kind of love her.

I think part of me actually might love Baltar/Six even more than Kara/Lee. After Downloaded, my greatest hope for the end of the second season was that Baltar's Six and he would be reunited again, and I was so happy when it happened. I find their relationship totally fascinating, and I completely love Six. I kind of actually really love Baltar, as well, and wanted him to win the election, until they showed us the whole one year later deal with him sucking. I mean, I knew he wouldn't be good or anything, but I didn't really love the whole pimped out office and his whores and such. But yeah, in general, I adore both Baltar and Six and Baltar/Six.

I'm not much of a fan of Laura Roslin. I honestly have no idea why, I've just never really loved her. I think I liked her a lot more when she was dying, but all the episodes after she survived, I just really stopped liking her, which is why I wanted Baltar to win the election (well, and also because I knew it would create a lot of conflict, and that's always fun. Except we didn't get to see the whole first year of his presidency! gr.).

I also love Sharon. I thought I liked her at the start of the series, but I think I love Helo's Sharon even more. And I loved Sharon/Chief at the beginning of season 1, but I think Helo/Sharon has totally trumped them for me. Helo/Sharon is another relationship I just find utterly fascinating.

I love Gaeta. No reason why, really. He's just awesome.

Who else can I talk about? I don't like Dualla, and it's not even completely because of her and Lee. I really liked her and Billy and I absolutely loved Billy and I really hate how she treated him. But what cemented it for me was her contributing to the rigging of the election for Roslin. I don't know why, but that just really bothered me. I know she wasn't the only one, but that's completely what I would expect from Tigh (and whatever, I'm not much of a fan of him anyways) and I understand Roslin's motivation. But Dualla helping just bugged me. I might just be looking for reasons to dislike her, though.

The one year jump in the finale bothered me. I wanted to like it or at least accept it, but I'm just one of those people who absolutely has to know what happened. I'm sure they'll do some sort of flashbacks or at least discuss some of what happened, but... I mean, it was a whole year! Adama even said that they had spent more time at New Caprica than they had running from the Cylons, which means we skipped more time than it took for the entire 2 seasons to take place. blah. But I'm still definitely looking forward to the third season, anyways, to see what happens now, and what did happen in that year.

Um, I guess that's all I have to say. I haven't said anything about the Cylons or the plot part of the show (I've been just focusing on the characters), but that's because I really have nothing to say other than I love it. I find it a lot more interesting than I thought I would, and yeah. I don't know. I love it.

...ok, so this review kind of came out more glowy than I expected it to. That's the thing, I keep saying I'm not obsessed and I'm just pretty sure I like it, but then I can't think of anything else during the day, and when I start talking about it, I just start gushing. I don't know. My feelings about this show confuse me.

Anyways, not sure what I'm going to check out next. I think My So-Called Life, like I said in the last post, but it's going to take a long time for me to download, so I'm thinking of starting something else in the meantime. Anyone want to rec me any shows you think I should watch? (You can check my userinfo for ones I've already seen, because I think I have seen a fair amount.)

First week of summer school is done, thankfully. Just 5 left. sigh.

I really need to watch BSG.  Many friends hassled me into downloading it, and while I did so, I haven't had the time to watch it yet.

Oh man, My So-Called Life is complete classic.  I love that show.

It is a good show, so you should check it out if you have the time. It was kind of tough for me to get into at first, but the more I watched the more I started loving the characters and getting really into the show. So yeah, I'd definitely check it out.

My So-Called Life is awesome. I saw the first like... 9 or 10 episodes last summer but then didn't see the rest, so now I want to finish the season.

love some my so-called life! Angela/Brad! HEH. :P

I'd suggest HUFF to you. I got it on dvd about a month or two ago and I'm hooked. It's funny and dramatic, keeps ya there. Love all the characters type show. And it's sophisticated, so no stupid crap. They had 2 seasons and I think got canceled this year.

I saw up to about episode 9 or 10 of My So-Called Life last summer and really loved it, and now I have the urge to finish watching the show. I'm really looking forward to seeing the rest of it. :)

Ah, thanks for the suggestion. I think I remember hearing about that show last fall and I heard it was good, but didn't know much about it. I'll definitely check it out, though.

Nip/Tuck and Rescue Me. These are two of my favorite shows, even though the characters on both shows have tendancies to be complete asshats. It's stellar writing and acting though.

Other than that, I've got nothing. I have the first three episodes of Big Love on my hard drive but I have yet to watch them. Oh, how about Scrubs? I didn't see that on your list but I love Scrubs.

Big Love I've seen the first... 3 episodes, I think, and while I liked it, it just didn't really suck me in, and I kind of forgot to keep watching it.

The other ones I haven't checked out. I've heard really great things about Scrubs but I've only seen about 10 minutes total of it. But yeah, anyways, thanks for the reccomendations, I'll definitely check those shows out. :)

I generally despise it when shows leap forward in time, and the BSG finale was no exception. It's going to have to have a really kickass third season to make up for that. My feelings on Kara have changed regularly, but right now I'm at the "loving her!" stage. (And for some reason I'm loving Kara/Anders too -- I'm one of the few BSG fans who's not really into Kara/Lee.) But like you, I'm pretty ambivalent towards Lee. I don't hate him, but I'm just much more interested in other characters. And "Black Market" sucked so, so much. It was kind of jarring how horrible it was. The Six/Gaius relationship is fascinating -- I love the two of them (Gaius is my favorite character), and "Downloaded" was awesome.

As for other shows to recommend, have you ever seen Sports Night? I think you might like it.

I'm trying to think of other instances of shows I've seen that have jumped forward in time, but the only two that come to mind it was in their series finale, so I was perfectly fine with that because I liked seeing where all the characters ended up so many years down the road. But I really just don't like it in the BSG finale. I think the writers will do a good job with it, but I don't think that's enough for me; I just really want to see exactly what happens that year, every single day. I don't just want to be told about little pieces of it.

I actually kind of like Kara/Anders even though I ship Kara/Lee. I'm not 100% thrilled that they got married, but I thought they were really sweet together in the episodes where she was on Caprica and when they reunited.

Yeah, I was surprised at the suckitude of Black Market. I'm not even entirely sure what happened in that episode because I wasn't paying attention for like most of it. And I was thinking it was maybe because they were only focusing on Lee and I wanted to know what was going on with the rest of the Galactica, but then the next week they only focused on Kara and I was fine with that. So I'm thinking it's just Lee I don't care enough about to focus on for the whole episode.

I haven't seen Sports Night, but I have heard that it's really awesome and I think I almost checked it out once last summer but then forgot to, or something. But yeah, thank you for reminding me about that show, I'll definitely check it out now. :)

I'm watching My So-Called Life at the moment. I caught a few episodes ages ago but then completely forgot about it. Such a great show, I'm so glad I've managed to re-discover it.

Hmm, as for any other shows... how about Grey's Anatomy? Heat is killing my brain, so I can't think of any others. Besides, you appear to already watch all the ones I can think of, hee. :D

Yeah, I watched about the first half of the season last summer and I really loved it, but kind of forgot to watch the second half. But I should be able to watch it this week, so I'm really looking forward to that. It is a great show.

Ah, thanks for the suggestion. I have a lot of people on my friends list who watch Grey's Anatomy and love it, but I've never seen any of it. The only thing is next year I think it's going to be on at the same time as at least 2 other shows I watch, and I can only record two shows at a time. I might still check it out though, because I have heard really good things about it. :)
