Morning wasn't so fun, as I had to wake up early (on my second day of summer break, no less) to take a diagnostic test for the SAT for this SAT class I'm taking which was very long and tiring, but the afternoon was awesome. I went to spectrum with Annie (my closest friend who goes to a different high school than me whom I haven't seen in months) and bought a bunch of CDs and DVDs. I was going to get seasons 1 and 4 of Buffy at Barnes and Noble since I have 2, 3, and 5, and have had the urge recently to have a Buffy marathon (I don't care for seasons 6 and 7 as much, so I don't care too much about having them for the marathon watching of Buffy) and I still have gift cards for there from Christmas and my birthday (which was in January), but then it turned out that they were having a "Buy 2 DVDs, get the third free" so I spent about 15 min trying to decide what to get. I finally decided on Felicity season 2. I think I'll start Felicity tonight and wait on the Buffy marathon. The CDs I got were the new Weezer, the new Garbage, the new Starting Line, the new Alkaline Trio, and the new Motion City Soundtrack, all of which I've been wanting to get for the longest time, but haven't had time to what with school.

Yes. It was awesome seeing Annie again. Hopefully the next time I get to see her won't be in another 3 months. She molested my boob, though! She claims it was an accident, but after that, she also admitted that she was a "mean, lean, molesting machine." Insanity.

But yes. It was a fun day. Going to Andrew's tomorrow with a bunch of people and playing DDR and such. Summer is so awesome, so glad it's finally arrived.

I really need to make some icons. I have a bunch sitting on my computer from the past week or so (...when I should've been studying for finals, but instead decided making icons was far more important), but I haven't gotten around to making enough in any one fandom to post them. bleh. Soon, hopefully.

All right. DVD-watching time.

SAT prep is always awesome, man. What're you talking about?

Aww, TV marathons are awesome. Then again, my parents are threatening to cut down my internet time to an hour a day, so I might not be able to keep downloading the shows I watch. Le sigh.

Is Andrew's thing an open invitation? Huh, maybe I should just ask him.

Icons are pretty.

Lies!

They are indeed. I haven't really had any TV marathons, unless you count when I watch just one season of a show I buy, or rewatching the first season of Veronica Mars like 500 times. So yeah, I'm looking forward to watching all of Buffy. I think one night this summer I should have you, Annie, and Jackie over and we can watch random awesome episodes of Buffy. It would totally rock if we could manage that, but I don't know. And geez, cutting down your internet time? Isn't there a law against cruel and unusual punishment? Actually, I think that's an amendment, and it probably only applies to the courts, but I think it should apply to that.

I don't know if it's open. You should definitely ask him, though. There's going to be a good number of people there, and I already invited Annie without asking Andrew, because I'm awesome. Well, I doubt he'd mind if she comes. Everyone loves seeing Annie.

And yes, icons are indeed pretty.

I never lie!

We should definitely do that. It's been so long since we obsessed over Buffy together. And my parents seem to not care very much about the judicial system of our country :(.

Mkay, I'll ask tomorrow. What time is it, so I can call him before then?

It would be totally awesome to obsess over Buffy again. It has been a long time. And your parents suck. >:O

Actually, he's being all emo and angsty right now, and his away message is all "Nevermind, I'm just going to cancel it. Nobody cares anyways. Nobody EVER cares." ...so, I'm think it's not going to happen. I'll let you know if I find out differently, though.

Aww, poor Andrew. All the people who are planning to show up must not care.

Blah, must've changed his mind, though, since he came back from away and asked if I was coming and I said yes, and... yeah. He didn't say it was cancelled. So I suppose it is still happening. I don't know what time, though, but originally he said after 2. He asked me when I could come and I said whenever, so... yeah. I'll bug him about the time tomorrow.

Meh, I probably can't go anyway. Have fun though :).

I heard the new Weezer CD was awesome - I was considering buying it until I realised I had no money but thats what birthdays are for right? So anyway... how is it?

I haven't actually had a chance to listen to it yet. This is the problem with buying 3 DVDs on one day in addition to a bunch of CDs. I have heard like three of the songs on the radio, though, and I really like them. And I listened to clips of the songs at the place I bought it, FYE, and I really liked them. So from the bits that I've heard of it, it's pretty good.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the Buffy marathon. I've been watching it for nearly 7 years now, and I've never had one, so it should be fun. :D

And yes, it definitely is. Except for the part where I have to start on my 100 hours of community service (required by my school) and take SAT classes. But besides that, I'm definitely looking forward to a lot of doing nothing at all.

Whoa. 100 hours? I thought it was 25 -looks-.

25 per year. 100 all four years. I have 0 from my first 2 years, so... I still have 100 to do. It's ok, though, because I think I'm going to volunteer at Irvine Animal Shelter, and they require 8 hours a month, so after a year, I'll have 96 hours. So, I should be able to finish it in a little over a year.

oh.my.wow.

I've only watched Buffy for a year, have 2 episodes left and then I've seen em all. I have marathons with my brother, though sometimes it's quite awkward b/c he's like 11 and watching "Surprise".

community service? I'm so sorry :D. hehe.

Heh, well, I'm 16 now, so the first episode of Buffy I saw was when I was about 9. My baby-sitter was taking a pop culture class, or something like that, and so she turned it on when she was baby-sitting me once.

Heh, it's ok. It shouldn't be too bad now that I've actually pretty much figured out what I'm going to do. Of course, it'd still be nicer if I didn't have to do any community service at all.

I totally agree with you on the 6th and 7th season. To me Buffy ended when "The Gift" aired. If season five had more Angel towards the end ( I swoon for that vamp like none other)and if they squeezed "Normal Again" into the fifth season, it would have been perfect.

Yeah, I can't find much that I really like in the 6th and 7th seasons. I think The Gift really was a wonderful finale. There are few episodes I even really like rewatching out of those seasons. I enjoy Once More With Feeling, Tabula Rasa, and Normal Again. I can't think of much I like about the 7th season. It started out all right, but then absolutely nothing happened. I think the concept for the season was all right, but the execution wasn't very good. Those seasons are still better than a lot of other things on TV now, but yeah, I think it would've been better if Buffy had ended in its 5th season.
