So, I was totally planning on posting about stuff on Sunday, but then I ended up spending all of Sunday and Monday watching the first three episodes of Love My Way Season 1 and all three seasons of How I Met Your Mother (well, except for the episode that aired last night, since I was only up to about episode 13 or 14 by the time it aired, and I wanted to watch Gossip Girl anyways).

I actually watched the first 8 episodes of HIMYM when it first aired, but the laugh track bothered me, I thought it was just ok, and there was at least one other show I was watching at the same time. Plus, I watched it right after Arrested Development, which probably didn't help it any. But anyways, pretty much everyone on my flist is in love with it, and after Sandcastles in the Sand aired and it looked like there was a ship for me to latch onto (because that's necessary for me to get hooked to shows), I decided to watch it. Anyways, it's probably pretty obvious (since, you know, I watched all three seasons in two days) that I totally loved the show. I wish I hadn't given it up, but I think it benefited from watching all the episodes in a row rather than having to wait week to week. Random thoughts: How I Met Your Mother Seasons 1-3 )

I must say, it was pretty awesome timing to finish watching this show and fall in love with it and then get all afraid about if it's renewed for next season and to come back online and find that the L.A. Times reported just yesterday that it had been. Yay for another season! ...hopefully I can fit it into my TV-watching schedule. Especially since I'm watching Prison Break again next season and that's on at the same time. Gossip Girl better go back to Wednesdays or my Monday nights are going to be way too filled with TV.

Anyways, now I'm probably going to finish the first season of Love My Way. Well, I don't know. I mean, I like it, but I have no way of getting seasons 2 and 3 (and I've also heard that they're really awful, so I don't know if I'd want to watch them, anyways). We'll see. There are loads of TV shows I want to start watching over the summer, so maybe I'll put it off.

Miss/Guided was officially canceled which makes me sad because it was actually pretty funny. I could see myself getting really hooked on it if it had been given more than like 6 episodes. sigh. Oh well. It's not like I was expecting it to be renewed. And I'm pretty sure I'm one of like five people in the entire country who watched it. So I don't know that anyone else really cares.

I have things to say about Brothers and Sisters and Gossip Girl, but I am going to go to Ikea now with my mom to buy a new dresser for my room because I need more space for clothes and the one I have I have had since I was born. So I will post about them later or tomorrow.

Ok so there's this Prison Break spoiler going around for next season and I really need to post about it. Prison Break )

I watched last night's episodes of Miss Guided, and I'm really enjoying that show so much more than I thought I would. It really sucks that there are only two episodes left. I hope it's picked up for next year, but I'm not very optimistic. I also read that The Return of Jezebel James was canceled which... yeah. Not very surprising. I'm almost surprised Fox aired as much as it did (an entire 3 episodes). Not very disappointed, other than not having Michael Arden on my screen every week anymore. But the rest of the show was just a chore to get through, so whatever. Not a huge loss.

Anyone else want to give me Top 5s? I want to make images to go with them, so I probably won't post them until tomorrow, so if you feel like giving me more top 5s, that would be awesome.

I went shopping with my mom yesterday and by total accident got a pair of shoes and t-shirt that match perfectly. It's so weird. Photographic evidence! Like, the patches on the shoes and the design on the t-shirt look so good together. I have no idea how that happened. I didn't even realize it until I got home and saw them next to each other. It's fun when that happens!

I watched the two episodes of Miss Guided on Thursday, and the show either got better, or it was funnier than I remembered. I got more used to the confessionals, and I actually laughed out loud several times. Not the best sitcom ever, but it's not bad. Of course, I'm sure it'll be canceled immediately. I also watched the last episode of The Return of Jezebel James, and that show really isn't getting any better. There are only 4 new episodes left, though, and Michael Arden is totally adorable and awesome in his role, so I'll probably end up watching the rest.

I feel like I need to justify my reasons for participating in the LJ strike after reading some of the posts by people who didn't strike. LJ Strike Comments )

Going to see In Bruges with my parents today. Ugh, last full day home. I am not looking forward to going back to school. The rest of this semester is going to be hell. Can it be May yet?

I alluded to it in that post a few days ago, but I figured I'd state that I'm participating in the 24 hour, no-content LJ strike on Friday from midnight to midnight GMT (so, 5 PM Thursday night my time to 5 PM Friday night). I imagine everyone's heard about this by now so I'm not going to search around for the the post that explains what's going on, but if you haven't, let me know, and I'll find a link.

Anyways, today I got my hair cut (nothing major, just trimming split ends) and then went to see Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day with my mom, which was really cute. It's not the most brilliant film ever, but it's also not trying to be. It's just lighthearted and really fun (although extremely short; it's barely over 90 minutes). Frances McDormand and Amy Adams are great, but Lee Pace. Oh, god. I love Lee Pace. His accent! His SINGING! Watching this really made me miss Pushing Daisies and wish that it could come back before next season. It also makes me really want to do a Wonderfalls rewatch and, of course, my DVDs are back at school, since I felt like doing a Wonderfalls rewatch last fall while watching Pushing Daisies but my DVDs were at home then, so I brought them to school after winter break. Oh well. If I have time and still feel like it, I'll do it next week. It's only 13 episodes, it shouldn't take that long.

I also watched the pilot of Miss Guided. I like Judy Greer normally, but I wasn't that impressed with her. I wasn't really that impressed with the show in general. The confessionals were kind of weird and difficult to get used to, and there were very few laugh-out-loud moments. I don't know. I'll probably watch the two episodes that air tomorrow night just because... I have nothing better to do (and it'll be during the strike! I'll really need to find ways to keep myself entertained).

Ok, off to watch Torchwood now!
