So I left all my purses/bags at school brilliantly and I've been borrowing one of my mom's whenever I go out, but I felt bad about it since I was pretty sure her purse would end up disappearing in my room never to be seen again if she kept lending it to me. So I went shopping with her yesterday and I got this awesome purse that I'm totally in love with. It's by Michael Kors and it was originally $498 but it was only $230 because it was on sale and I had a $200 gift card to Nordstrom from like 2 years ago that I never used because I never go there, so I ended up paying $30 for a $498 purse. Two pictures of it: here and here. After that we went to Old Navy and I got three new shirts. Shopping makes me very happy. :D

Then I went to Emma's for Secret Santa. I got Scrubs season 1 on DVD from Richard. I asked for a bunch of stuff but I knew that if I asked for that I'd get that no matter who drew my name since all of my friends love that show and I figured they wouldn't be able to resist. Anyways, it should be fun to watch it, although I'll probably wait until at least after New Year's to watch it.

I only have 5 movies to watch to get to 100! The DVD box set of Hitchcock movies I got for Christmas is definitely helping. I'll probably watch another of those tonight.

I went shopping with my mom yesterday and by total accident got a pair of shoes and t-shirt that match perfectly. It's so weird. Photographic evidence! Like, the patches on the shoes and the design on the t-shirt look so good together. I have no idea how that happened. I didn't even realize it until I got home and saw them next to each other. It's fun when that happens!

I watched the two episodes of Miss Guided on Thursday, and the show either got better, or it was funnier than I remembered. I got more used to the confessionals, and I actually laughed out loud several times. Not the best sitcom ever, but it's not bad. Of course, I'm sure it'll be canceled immediately. I also watched the last episode of The Return of Jezebel James, and that show really isn't getting any better. There are only 4 new episodes left, though, and Michael Arden is totally adorable and awesome in his role, so I'll probably end up watching the rest.

I feel like I need to justify my reasons for participating in the LJ strike after reading some of the posts by people who didn't strike. LJ Strike Comments )

Going to see In Bruges with my parents today. Ugh, last full day home. I am not looking forward to going back to school. The rest of this semester is going to be hell. Can it be May yet?

New layout! [livejournal.com profile] brokenrecord__! Not sure how I like the colors, but they were giving me a hell of a time, so I kind of just gave up. I might look at them again later, but it's unlikely. I'll probably just wait until I make a new layout.

This actually isn't the layout that I mentioned earlier I was unsure about. I found myself liking the old one more after some time, but I had no idea what to do about the colors, and then I tried to make the one that's up now, and I decided to just go with that one. I might put the other one up when I get sick of this one (that one's here if you want to take a look. Well, that's one version, at least. I had many versions, where mainly the only difference was the borders).

Anyways. Pictures of the stuff I got yesterday! )

I probably should do something productive like work on my assignment for my college counselor or read parts 3 and 4 of The Power and the Glory, but instead I think I'll watch some episodes from my season 3 Charmed DVD (I'm about halfway through it, and I got it back in January for my birthday, and at this rate, I'll be done by like December).

First off, hello to all my new friends from the friending meme!

So, I've made like 60 new VM icons in the past 3 days, and I already had 20 made that I haven't posted, so, uh, look out for an icon post from me tomorrow.

Anyways. Today was fun. Right after jazz band, I drove me, Jackie, and Jessica to the Spectrum to help find Jessica a prom dress. We ended up finding her a really pretty one, and then we found this ridiculously beautiful necklace to match. For dinner we went to Johnny Rockets and met up with Soan, Justin, and Andrew. And I saw Ruben at Johnny Rockets! I used to go to the Spectrum every Saturday with Tiffany and sometimes Annie, and we'd always go to Johnny Rockets for lunch, and Ruben was a server there, and after awhile he started recognizing us and whenever he'd be our server, he'd give us free drinks/food and stuff. He was really cool. He actually came over to my table to say hi and talk a little, and I was surprised he even recognized me, since it's been like a year since I've seen him. But yeah, that was cool.

Throughout the night I managed to buy two pairs of pyjama pants (mine are all getting old and ripping, and I've been looking for some for awhile but haven't been able to find any ones I liked), a Motion City Soundtrack shirt from Hot Topic, and 2 pairs of shoes (which sounds like a lot, but the shoes were so cheap! One pair was $45 and the other was $30!). The shoes I got at Nordstroms, though, they didn't have in my size, so they're going to deliver them to me in like a week or so. But yeah, very productive. I'll post pictures of all the stuff I got tomorrow, but I left my camera in my car and it's like 10:30 PM and I don't want to go outside to get it.

Oh, but man, I saw this jacket that I absolutely loved at Urban Outfitters, but their clothes are cut kind of small, and the largest size they even have is a large. I could get it on and everything, but it was kind of tight in the arms, so it wasn't very comfortable. =/ Ah, but I loved it so much. It disappointed me that it was just a bit too small. Oh well. I looked at the price tag, anyways, and it was $68, so it's doubtful I would've gotten it even if it had fit.

Um, what else? Going to the animal shelter tomorrow morning (first time in a few weeks. bleh. I really need to go there more). Sunday I'm going to go to this thing in... Glendale? Or Glenoak? I don't know. North L.A.? And it's like... this meeting with booths and information sessions and such about a bunch of different colleges, including Claremont McKenna, Macalester, Colorado College, and Haverford, all of which I'm planning on applying to. So that should be interesting.

uh. Tired. Fun day, but we walked around a lot, and now I'm exhausted. Sleep = excellent.
