Ah, Wicked was so amazing. I love seeing it. I just want to see it over and over again. It was the same cast as I saw in Boston, which was fine with me since it was a great cast, I got to see Mr. Trick as Doctor Dillamond again! Hee! That never fails to amuse me.

Ah, but man, I just love how well it's done. Some rambling about the musical. )

I'm seeing Wicked in a few hours in Costa Mesa! ee, I can't wait! It seemed back when I got the tickets that August 18 would never come, but all of a sudden it's here, and ah, I'm so excited.

I have to say, I admire Grinnell's determination that I apply to their school. It's pretty crazy. And I like how their first letter to me was like "Well, we know you didn't request any information from our school and have shown no interest in us whatsoever, but we figure that this is probably a mistake, so here's a bunch of information anyways!" And now I get something in the mail from them like every other week. It's rather amusing.

Uh, yeah. I don't know what else to say. I'm pretty much just trying to find ways to pass the time until Galaxy and Emma get here. I've spent pretty much all afternoon reading Office fic that I somehow hadn't read already but I think I've run out now. Also, I'm pretty sure I'm getting a fever. blah. Perfect timing. And here I was thinking I was actually getting better.

We have couches in the family room now! Like two months ago, one day all of a sudden the couches in the family room were gone with no explanation. I chose to believe that we were becoming poor and my parents had sold the couches on the black market to get some quick cash. But no, they're back now, and they were just reapholstered (that's so spelled wrong, but I don't care to check how to spell it). They're a slight improvement over the old couches. I'll take a picture sometime soon.

My recent movie-watching kick has continued. Yesterday I watched Get Real (which I absolutely loved). Then today I went to the Woodbridge theaters with Elizabeth and Galaxy and saw RV. It was pretty bad, but it did have some funny moments. Plus, it had Kristin Chenoweth (Glinda in the original broadway cast of Wicked. And she sang!), Will Arnett (GOB on Arrested Development), and Tony Hale (Buster on Arrested Development). So it was worth it to see them.

Anyways, afterwards I came home and watched Beautiful Thing, which was really sweet. I was planning on watching Something New, but the version I had downloaded was screwed up, and I don't think the new one will be done in time for me to watch. Oh well. I'll watch it tomorrow.

I'm still planning to start watching My So-Called Life, I just wanted to finish my essays first, and after those were done all of a sudden I have the urge to watch a bunch of movies (particularly ones focusing on gay relationships, if you hadn't noticed the trend in a lot of the movies I've been watching [The Broken Hearts Club, Latter Days, Get Real, Beautiful Thing]). But I'll probably start watching it either tomorrow or Thursday. After My So-Called Life I was thinking of starting Entourage, but I think instead I'm going to try to watch Strangers With Candy. Still going to watch Entourage at some point, I just feel more like checking out Strangers With Candy now.

I'm going to be so sad when summer is over and I won't have the time to watch all these movies and TV shows.

OMG WICKED WAS SO AMAZING. I must see it again when it comes to the Performing Arts Center in August, because geez. That was just awesome.

I don't even really know what to say about it. Everything was just perfect. Oh! The guy who played Mr. Trick on Buffy during season 3? He played Dr. Dillamond! I found that amusing. Also, the guy who played Fiyero, when he came on stage, I was like "Whoa, he really reminds me of Roger from Rent" and it turned out that he actually has played Roger in Rent recently, so I found that kind of amusing as well.

And I got a t-shirt! It's long-sleeved and says Wicked and has flying monkeys on the left sleeve. I love it.

Anyways, the rest of the trip. )

And that's about it. I did a bunch of preparation for the Math 2C SAT II (all I really have left is to finish the practice tests in the book), absolutely none for the French SAT II, and absolutely none for my Euro final/the actual AP exam. sigh. I am so screwed. I need to study a bunch for that today, in addition to the French essay that I have yet to write and is due tomorrow. blah. Not so fun being home.

l;kajsdfjk!!!! I might be able to see Wicked!!! laksdjflk

Because, see, I was checking to see if it would be playing anywhere near here and it's playing in San Diego in July, but San Diego's pretty far, so I didn't know how open my mom would be to that (though the tickets seemed ridiculously cheap). And I saw that it was playing in New York and like... Chicago and I suddenly remembered that we're planning to visit colleges in Boston during the week of my spring break. And so I decided to check just on a whim, and guess what start playing at the Boston Opera House starting April 13th? Wicked! And guess when my last day of school before spring break is? April 14th! And I talked to my mom about it and she's totally open to it.

omg I'm so freaking excited.

(Actually I started looking a little harder, and it turns out it's playing at the Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa, right next to my dad's work, in August. But April is so much sooner than August, and it'll be fun to see it then I think. And this gives me a backup in case something doesn't work out and we don't see it then.)

blah but I'm sad right now because I expected The Sims 2 new expansion pack I ordered Sunday to be here by today (based on when all my other things have come after they've shipped and all), and it's not here. I was looking forward to playing it all day. And tomorrow I won't have as much time because I'm going to be going to the animal shelter and buying SAT books and working on my French project with Galaxy. =/ Oh well.

Today in English Mrs. Moore was gone because her daughter is sick so we got to watch the Wuthering Heights with Ralph Fiennes, and ah, it's so ridiculous. I mean, they're like 6 one second, and the next they look 30 when they're supposed to be like 15 or 16. And Heathcliff goes from having brown eyes to blue eyes! wtf? I can deal with the blonde hair turning brown because my hair's darkened a lot from when I was a kid, but eyes don't just randomly change from brown to blue. It was still entertaining to watch, though.

Dude, I love the Wicked soundtrack so much. mm, I love musicals. And now I also found that they have an original cast soundtrack of Urinetown on Amazon.com, and ah. I so have the urge to get it. I think I'll wait a little, though.

Actually scratch the whole "I think I'll wait..." part, because I totally just checked and they have it on Target.com, and I still have that $20 gift certificate to Target Zi got me for my birthday, and it's only $17.98 with shipping and handling and all that... so, yeah. No willpower.

Anyways. iPod situation resolved! My dad may have ended up getting it for me if I had patience and such, but last night I was arguing with my mother about it (well it didn't start out as an argument, but she wasn't listening to anything I was saying and before I knew it I was really angry) and I was just getting so frustrated and then she left to go to this meeting and I am so freaking obsessive and once I get something into my head I can't get it out and I just had to figure something out and so I checked things out and decided that I could buy the $289.99 iPod video and I'd have $21 and change left which would be enough to get me buy on gas for a month and a half (since I just refilled my tank like Tuesday) and then it would be Easter and my parents could add some more money because it's a holiday and part of our argument before that was that my parents won't just get me things for whenever I want, but for holidays and my birthday and such. So, yeah. And I also asked my mom and she said I can add money onto my visabuxx card, and I have like $90 so I could add that and use it for gas. So, everything's solved.

Of course then when my dad came home my mom told him and he was all "You didn't get it already, did you?" and I was all "...yeah?" and he was all "But I said I'd get it for you!" And I pointed out that he never really said yes, but he claimed he did, but I said I was impatient anyways, and in any case I could cancel the order or he could just add $289.99 back onto my visabuxx card. And anyways he said that this ends up being less work for him. So, yeah.

Lastly, please do this?

Anyways, now I get to study for a 6 chapter Euro test. Joy.

So, I think my father said yes about me getting a new iPod? It wasn't ever explicitely stated, but I think it was implied. We kept going around in circles with our conversation. He'd be all "I'm not getting you one tonight" and I'd be all "...I'm not asking for one now. I just want to know if I will be able to get one sometime." and he'd be all "The silver one should be enough for right now" and I'd be all "...yes. But. In the future." and he'd be all "Sometime" and I'd be all "...but do you have any idea of when?" and then he'd be all "I'm not getting you one tonight" and it'd continue like that over and over again. sigh.

Anyways. Today I had my junior counseling. I ramble on too long about something no one cares about. )

Um, lastly. Something. Oh yeah! I got my Wicked soundtrack today! I haven't listened to it yet since I just got home and am burning it to my computer now, but I will.
